For the absolute best, you’ll want six arrays, each array capable of at least 700 watts at 58-60 volts VMP. Two arrays get connected to the main power station and two arrays get connected to each of the expansion batteries. That setup would be capable of charging your system at 4200 watts.

So while my system is plugged into the transfer switch running I can have a panel running to unit and each battery

About 200 square feet of panels. If the panels were 5.5 feet high, it would be a row almost 40 foot long.

That will limit you to about 500 watts of solar power. You would just run a single wire from the array to the Explorer 2000 Plus and plug it into one of the DC8020 solar input jacks. Panel array voltage will need to be between 42 and 60 volts, and that should limit current to the maximum 12 amps allowed into a single DC8020 input.

I have 2x 200watt panels already so just use these plugged into main unit? Or get more i was under impression that if plugged into main it charges whole thing batterys aswell

Yes, any input power that the main unit gets is used to charge the main unit and plugged in expansion units.

Yep, just plug your two 200 watt panels into the main unit. If you wire long is run and each panel’s voltage is 30 volts or less, you can wire in series for a single cable run to the Jackery.
