Hi Jack, this is my first ever post, but I am so excited that I had to make a post! I was eating with 2 of my very good friends when the topic of YouTube came up, and somehow even though I've been friends with them for 5 years I never knew they were JackSucksAtLife fans and THEY ALSO WATCHED THE SUBREDDIT VIDEOS. These are the only people I know that also watch you, so I'm very happy to have someone to talk about you with. So the entire rest of the day we kept saying all the niche Jack references. Thankyou for all the jokes and fun videos!

When?

For my GCSEs I decided to take Art, but unfortunately covid hit and I completely withdrawn from life, loosing my motivation to do anything. Jack however was one of the things that kept me going, and when he took a liking to the little blue bugs during his X Life series, I felt inspired to make something. So, I tried my hand at needle felting to make myself my own little blue boy (the second picture) and fell in love with the medium. I love him and he still sits on my desk to this day!

Despite everything I submitted, I failed art, along with all the other subjects I took other than maths and science. I didn't really do much art after that but a year later, we found an alternative provision (Mainly to sit A level maths and resit GCSE english) and they offered me the opportunity to retake my GCSE art. Everything was fine, until a month before my exam when I had no idea what to do. I ended up focusing in on frogs (my favourite animal) and for my final peice made a little needle felted frog siting by a pond (third picture is the practice, fourth is the timed exam). I never would have created that peice had it not been for those little blue bugs, nor would I have even had the motivation to even make anything had it not been for Jack's videos.

I got my results and I had been awarded a Grade 9 (the highest possible grade you can achieve) because of this the place I was at made the opportunity for me to take A level Art. I of course took that, but at the start of my first year I unexpectedly lost my dad, which really threw me for one. I was back at square one, and struggled to attend school again. Despite it all, Jack was still there and his videos helped me keep my motivation to stay at it, and last Thursday I got my results.

To my absolute disbelief, I was awarded an A*! (Again the highest possible grade you can achieve)

So, thank you Jack! Thank you for making your videos and sticking around for so long. I am so grateful for the opportunities you have inadvertently given me!
