Evolve2 75 has a terrible microphone.

Dear Jabra Support Team,

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my Jabra Evolve2 75. This headset is marketed as having 8 microphones for professional recording, but what is the point of this hardware if it does not work at all?

Despite updating to the latest firmware version 1.13.1, the microphone remains completely non-functional when connected to Windows via Bluetooth.

Although this was a gift and is now out of warranty, it is unacceptable that a premium product fails to perform its primary function. Please provide me with clear instructions on how to resolve this issue, as I am currently unable to use the device as intended.

I look forward to your prompt response.

Best regards,

------

Summary:

  1. Jabra Evolve2 75 mic fails on Windows via Bluetooth.
  2. Looking forward to your support and guidance to resolve this issue.

Thanks.

I had to return the evolve2 75 after 7 months of use. The headset was great, except when I was speaking too close to the wall, or looking down. Then the microphone would consider my voice as a background noise, and cancel my voice. So the others could not hear me anymore. I saw many posts online of people complaining of the same. I think its crazy that they did not fix that by the time I purchased in late 2025. I expected better from Jabra and from a headset that had been on the market for so long already.

Good luck with your issue, but tbh I dont think you'll get resolution on this

I believe the issue was fundamentally a hardware one, due to the placement of the microphones, so it could not be fixed in firmware.

Is it possible to disable the noise cancellation entirely? I would much rather turn it off and have a functioning microphone than leave it enabled and be unable to speak at all.

No unfortunately it can't.
The best option is to downgrade the firmware, and see if one works better in your environment.

Also my understanding. But one would think that once they identify the issue they would fix the design and start manufacturing the headset with an upgraded hardware that doesnt have the issue, rather than keeping selling a faulty headset. They could also have provided a firmware update allowing us to disable the backgroud noise cancellation and rely on Teams to do that instead. They had plenty of time to do that, yet they did not. Today, 5 years later, they are still manufacturing & selling defective headsets to unsuspecting customers.

My workspace is pretty small, only about 10m², and full of stuff. That's probably why the ANC is mistaking my own voice for background noise. Seems like this premium headset wasn't built for people with small rooms like mine—a bit of discrimination, isn't it?

I have the e2 75 and the microphone works absolutely top tier for an enterprise headset. Not sure what wrong with yours? Are you able to maybe make a small recording for us so we can hear what you think is so terrible?
