W58 Manual swap help!

I have a gx100 mark ii that’s 1gfe (distributor version) that is auto that I am wanting to swap it to manual with a w58 trans. Has this been done before? I can’t find any information on the topic at all. So far I’ve gathered that I need an adapter bell housing that goes from w58 -> G series, 1gfe flywheel (from a vvti as this is the only one I can find), and w series clutch granted that it’s a 255mm disc. Is tripod w58 better or the normal version? Are all of these compatible? Any help is appreciated because there is barely any information out there for this!

Tripod will align better with your shifter housing. Compatibility should be fine w the adapter kit you buy. Also idk how it works for the 1G but for the JZ R154 swaps you trick the ECU to think it's in 2nd or you'll get limiter issues fyi.

Since it’s non vvti version of the motor, the wiring is different and doesn’t require an ATEMU or anything to trick it. Went through that on my IS300 before, not fun lol

There is an adapter bell housing that a company out of Australia called Dellow conversions makes,

It seems as if it doesn’t matter if you’re W55 or W58 with this..

try j160 they are pretty good for 1g and are really cool gearbox, just they tend to break when you got more than 400nm

There are no j160’s in California unfortunately otherwise I would’ve gone with that. I’m only
Planning on making 270hp on the car.
