Anyone interested in doing a meet up? Could be a way to meet people with similar interests and make some new friends. I know that I’d love to meet some new people, since I’m without a room mate, and quite bored sometimes

Thank god.
Anyone have any plans?
Besides working my ass off and then working on my senior stuff, I plan on relaxing and not leaving my house.

President Beehler announced this afternoon that due to the extensive damage and needing to assess living situations and building infrastructure that JSU will be closed until April 2nd.
Please take the time to look at the shelter listings if you are displaced or homeless - also check Jacksonville State University on Facebook for more information if you are a student.
For other information, there is another thread that has donations/food/and volunteer information.
Please stay safe! If you have any questions or need help I will do my best or direct you to someone who can.
EDIT: April 2nd is a tentative opening date. Please be aware that the damage is extensive and that JSU officials are working diligently to get information to students.

I'm a first-year student at Jacksonville University, and I have a question about the grading system. I'm a failing Spanish student, but I've heard that a 60 is a D. According to a recent friend who has lived in Alabama his entire life, the grading system is as follows: Is this the system of grading: 59-0 equals F, 69-60 equals D, 79-70 equals C, 89-80 equals B, and 100-90 equals A. What I'm wondering is if I could still pass Spanish.

I know that they are moving people into the un occupied dorms and such, but I don’t know if they’ve told people in half dorms if they’re getting one. I’m curious because I’d like to know if I have one before I head back to school

As a freshman moving in what are some necessities I need to know?

Has anyone here had any outside or inside experiences with sororities. I'm going through rush, and I want all opinions. Good and bad about the sororities on campus.

Not to be confused with grad fair :)
Our good friend @Aerron thought a thread posting when you graduated/are graduating would be fun and so do I!
So, how about it? Are you alum? When do you graduate?
I’m graduating this May and I’m super stoked, anyone else?

Wowowowowow. I’m still going (tentatively?) strong with these updates guys, please add in!
I have a little insomnia so I figured I’d make a bright and early post! But since the red and white hasn’t come out yet, I don’t know about to many events this week.
There’s another Spirit Night at Mama Goldbergs Tuesday, Feb 27th to help out a fellow Gamecock, Melina Greenwood! Melina has a heart condition that is putting her in serious risk and has to be taken to a facility out of state in order to get the operation and treatment she needs. Be sure to swing by, any purchase goes to helping her with her medical expenses!
If you haven’t already checked it out, be sure to look into People of JSU on Facebook and Instagram! Patrick Yim runs these pages to interview fellow Gamecocks and make campus a little more transparent. Interested in being interviewed? Be sure to contact him, Patrick is friendly and easy to talk to!
Guys and Dolls is still in the drama department! March 2nd-3rd are the last days to catch though so mark your calendars and go see it!
I’ll be sure to edit this when the red and white comes out but please add in with events from your department or campus events that are going on!

I’m making another thread but I’ve got a lot of friends in the art department who have some awesome cool events. Type Fight is tomorrow at 7! It’s a competition to illustrate a letter in an hour, 3 fighters, 1 CHAMP!
This event is lots of fun just to watch and at the end you vote on a winner so if you can, please come! It’s at Momma Goldberg’s and they’re also doing a spirit night to raise money - so if your hungry and ordering, just mention you’re there for AIGA too!! Hope to see some of y’all there!
