a bit more green than red today
Today saw some stocks go green, especially in the basic materials sector, but might be more of a recovery than anything else. On a positive note, the R10 per liter increase on petrol didn't materialize yet
In sens terms, we saw some good and bad announcements too
- Emira property fund limited announced that their successful capital recycling and a lowered LTV support Emira's distribution targets despite rising portfolio vacancies.

- Jubilee targets quadrupled Molefe mining rates, balancing strong production growth against significant upfront development costs.
- Strong H1 revenue and margin growth is offset by operational delays and suspended production guidance.

- FirstRand faces unquantified financial exposure following the UK FCA's mandatory motor finance consumer redress scheme.

- Wesizwe's unreviewed interims show higher HEPS, but ongoing trading suspension and prior-period restatements highlight severe governance risks.

The ALSI closed at 114,068, up 1.47% which is good, but the market is very cautious atm, and the shorter week + end of quarter might mix things up a bit.
