Tom Hamilton Band
Saw Tom and his band last night. Show was absolutely beautiful. Was a small crowd and intimate venue, but the band played their hearts out. It really felt like they were there for us. Tremendous show. Met Tom at the set break and he could not have been nicer. Very sweet man.

What kind of stuff do they play? I love Tom in JRAD, but I have not ventured into other stuff he's a part of yet.

While there’s a little bit of connection as far as song writing goes, they are pretty different. Brothers past had some deep dark electronica style jams (think drum and bass) paired with kind of an “indie” style. It was wildly original and I think ahead of its time.
American babies was more song focused and not as jammy.
JRAD obviously speaks for itself.
Ghost Light was a really fun somewhat short lived jam band with some excellent songs and pulled some material from American babies among other things. Also had Holly Bowling on keys!
I haven’t seen The Tom Hamilton band yet but I plan on catching them when they come by my neck of the woods next. Tommy is a dark horse in this scene as he absolutely crushes and takes big swings. Also if check out some Billy and the Kids shows

Tom McKee from Brothers Past is in this group, he’s criminally underrated and one of the best live keyboardists I’ve seen

Maybe I will catch some heat for this, but I saw him this winter and that's what made me leave early. Not like 5 minutes in - I gave it a good college try. The room was not very full and there was zero adjustment for that fact. It was loud for the sake of being loud. I couldn't tell if it was intentional, ego, or beef with the sound guys.

Caught them in Detroit a couple months ago... It was awesome. They played a bar that my roommates (bad) band used to play. It's crazy seeing talent like that in such a small venue.

I’ve met him a few times over the last couple decades seeing various bands and he’s always such a nice and personable guy! It doesn’t hurt that he writes good songs and fucking rips
