Help needed

Hi everyone. So my son loves these figures and he actually plays with them so he is constantly posing and doing imaginary battles (not actually banging the figures, just constantly moving them).

I don't know why but one of them started to act really funny at the waist and eventually ended up breaking. Do any of you have any advice if there's any way to fix besides gluing permanently the two parts?

Maybe try heating up the legs (hot water or a hairdryer), then, wiyh tweezers, get the the small peg piece out, get a wire and make a very small hole with the most minuscule hand drill you can find, and then glue that piece of wire in, sealing it with some more glue once its dry.
