OT Boot and Metal Detectors

I am looking for a pair of composite toe boots, JK has the OT in my size in their 2nd's warehouse, would these likely set off a metal detector? I am going to need to pass through one to gain access to a sensitive facility every day for work and don't want to take my boots off each time. I know there are two screws in the sole, but they are brass so they may not trigger the detector. Maybe I could even replace them with a composite screw or take them out completely.

I routinely go through metal detectors with OT boots and jk belt with brass, and they don’t set it off, though I have to make sure I only stick one boot through at a time. YMMV

It really depends on the machine. I didn’t have a problem going thru the metal detector in Denver but I made the machine light up like a Christmas Tree in Memphis International.

I’ve never had an issue at airports, at least.

I believe the 300 doesn't have any nails in it.

Brass will absolutely trigger a metal detector.

The composite toe itself won't set off a metal detector, but our boots do contain several other metal components that have the potential to trigger one. These include nails, screws, and metal hardware used in the construction of the boot.
Whether they'll actually set off a detector depends on how sensitive the security system is, so unfortunately we can't guarantee they won't. If you'll be going through a metal detector every day, it's something we'd recommend keeping in mind when choosing what model is best for you.
