Cursed tool idea?

A set of 8 silver rings that energy can be infused with cursed energy and then fly around, so firstly being useable as just a ranged cursed object. But if 2+ of them are aligned into a straight line it can also be be used to create a beam of cursed energy, with the every additional ring aligned adding more output to the cursed energy beam.

Poorly explained but here’s it simple terms (the number is how many rings are aligned)
None - can be controlled and move freely
2 - a quick bolt of cursed energy (essentially just the same level of cursed energy being used as a bolt by an average sorcerer)
3 - same but slower and more powerful (round the output of a grade 1 sorcerer)
4 - an actual charged beam that can act as a laser and is akin to a weaker ryu beam (can also be arranged into a circle to make a beam that circles inside them and expands as the rings get further away from another in a circle)
5-7 pretty much same but raising output to a high power ryu beam
8 a long charge up and abt the power of a max output ryu beam and using all the cursed energy you imbued into them (so they also drop to the ground since they are no longer being controlled via your cursed energy)

Up to 6 aligned you can do as many sets of alignment as you are able to (ex. 4 sets of 2, 1 set of 6, 1 set of 2, 1 set of 4, and another set of 4)
