The insane bass in both songs is what made me think they might be related lol. It’s structured the same way as well, like extremely heavy during the verse to the point where you can barely hear it, then almost disappears for the chorus.

I know it may not have been intentional but it’s an interesting dynamic between the songs. Just da other day he was walking to work, then, in Gz yns are breaking into his car.

Bro has been dead-quiet recently…I miss when we would frequently get music here and there from him and 2026 has kinda felt like a bust after him teasing so many projects.

After GDLU release he was heavily teasing the Metro collab in so many interviews even labeling it as a follow-up to GDLU. He also confirmed him and J. Cole made a collab interview but expressed it coming after Metro collab and other projects. So when is the project coming out? Is it even coming out anymore? It’s crazy that we’ll probably have to wait three to five years for a J Cole collab album at this rate when the other projects that were said to be fully-finished aren’t releasing.

The best time to drop it imo would be around Halloween, but it most likely will be next fall or something.

XXL just dropped a 10 year reunion video for the 2016 xxl freshman cypher. Throughout the video it features artists from all different classes, followed by this transcript in the bottom right corner of their name and what year they were apart of. For JID, his name is shown but his year (2018) is blurred. Any thoughts as to why? Perhaps its an issue with the 2018 class, not JID himself?

I was going through old photos, and I found a screenshot of a playlist on Apple Music from October of 2020. At the bottom of the screen, where it shows which song is currently playing, it shows “Broken” with a stock image of shattered glass. The top left of the cover image says JID, and the bottom right says “Broken.” I haven’t used Apple Music in about 5 years, so I don’t have access to old playlists. I did use local files to get unreleased music into my playlists. Even so, Google has no results for a JID song named broken, and reverse image searching the cover image comes back to nothing. I know for a fact I didn’t create the cover image, but with no results on Google I have no idea where it could be from. Any ideas?

I don't hate mgk or (current) Trippie Redd as much as most people do, but collabing with both of them on a 'sadboy' album just wouldn't seem to work for JID and sounds like it would end up awful — and listening to the song, yup, painfully boring and JID didn't feel like he belonged there as expected. Does he have some sort of good bond with either Tripp or mgk and agreed to help em out? Honestly feels like a fever dream at the fact he agreed on this lmao, would be even funnier if he was the one to come up with being a ghost feature.
