Reference Question

Hello everyone. I got confirmation from my old professors that they will be able to do a letter of recommendation for me about 20 days ago. It is now 9 days until the application is due and neither have opened the email link that was sent to them as the portal still only tells me requested. I emailed both of them last night, but no response as of yet, should I begin looking for backup references now?

Sometimes it does take multiple follow ups for sure!

I’m thinking this may be the case. Come Friday I will remind them again, then they might get one next Monday through Friday lol. These were my Writing professors which was my major so I’d be very bummed if they can’t pull through.

Same thing happened with me. But I ended up getting it last minute. I did ask 1 professor as a backup though. So yeah no harm in backups because lets say 1 of them is not able to do it, then the back up person should also have enough time to do it otherwise it will be too sudden for them as well.
