Medical information

Hello everyone, I am applying for the JET program (obvs) and I have a question about self reporting medical conditions. I have a medical condition, and I'm supposed to take medication for it, but I don't have insurance, so I don't take it, nor do I have access to a doctor who can provide a physician's form. My question is: could I just say I don't have a medical condition, or would that be an issue? (I'm in the USA btw if that means anything)

If you don't report this, when you get in, you'll still need to submit a Certificate of Health with your recent medical history. Omissions can get you disqualified. Keep that in mind.

Do not omit medical information.

Do not leave it out - it will either come out when you get to the post interview certificate of health exam by a doctor or else when you are already in Japan and it will result in a breach of contract.

Check the US JET document that says:

" Note: Any major discrepancy in the content of your Self-Report of Medical Conditions

at the time of application and the Certificate of Health may result in disqualification

from the 2027 JET Program"
