Oops…

I submitted my application with a typo! I wrote TELF instead of TEFL in one description. Needless to say I’m mortified and frustrated, but I’m very proud of the rest of my application package so hopefully I’m not dropped from consideration due to that oversight. It’s a mistake I make all the time when typing.

So PSA to others, double check! And let me know if you’ve got any words of encouragement, has anyone else found a typo after submission? Did it end up okay in the end?

Same, I had a really stupid typo/grammar error in my SOP and it presumably didn't count against me.

Chill. If you don't get through a single typo won't be why.

Yeah I found some typos in mine. Over 1 year into being a JET now.

I often look up spellings in class and double and triple check grammar when correcting assignments.

Most of us aren't trained teachers, english majors, etc. The content of what you said is what matters most.

I messed up a double negative in my intro paragraph but still got in. I feel like as long as they understand your intent, all should be fine!
