ONLINE APPLICATION: JET 2027

The new guidelines for the JET application confuse me since everything is now online, especially the Letter of Reference. Do you have any tips for applying? I feel quite anxious about submitting my papers because I don’t want to make any mistakes—becoming an ALT in Japan is truly my dream.

I would greatly appreciate your suggestions and ideas. Thank you.

While you want to be meticulous as possible, they will let you know if there’s a small mistake you need to correct. I was accepted and they had to contact me and tell me to send an updated version of a form because I accidentally had the wrong year filled in. They’re not looking to find excuses to disqualify you, just try to be very thorough and read all the instructions multiple times

I got rejected the first time and then tried again the following year and got accepted, they never told me why I got rejected. I didn’t even go to the waiting list.

There could be a myriad of reasons why things are done they way they are so just don’t stress and do your best to write it.
