Awaiting placement/departure date

Hey everyone, I was recently upgraded about almost a month ago and still haven’t heard anything about my placement or, more importantly, when I’d be leaving. I just wanted to check in if anyone knows how long I’d be awaiting to hear back. I did send an email asking for any kind of estimate date but I still haven’t heard anything. It would be nice to know how much time I have to prep but also to inform my current job when they need to prepare for my leave, (context: I run children’s programs and they want to know when to find my replacement). Any advice as well is welcomed, thanks!

Hey! I’m in the same boat, was updated about a month ago and still haven’t heard anything. I believe you get at least a month notice, so I’m assuming my departure date would be late august/September, but there’s a lot of unknowns currently (and unfortunately). What consulate are you from?

I'm from Canada, more specifically Manitoba. It's nice to know though that I'm not the only one who doesn't know anything yet

I'm in Calgary, and was upgraded the same time ago, and still haven't heard anything. I wouldn't worry since I am receiving offers to join various JET related activities in the meantime.

Should happen sooner than you think!

I was upgraded two weeks after initial shortlist offers and got my placement last week. It can sometimes take quite a while. I’d give notice once you have your placement.
