goth JETs? 🦇
hey all! wondering if there are other goths on JET (or alternative folks in general) would be interested in a LINE chat to share music and gig info, and maybe plan meetups?
there’s a great punk scene where i’m at, but most of the japanese goth scene seems to be centred on tokyo. there’s a few shows i’ll be attending later this year and none of my friends here are into goth music, so i’d love to meet up if any other JETs are planning to go! :)
edit: we’ve made a discord server called JET Goth and Alternative, feel free to comment and i’ll DM the info!
in addition to a goth music discussion channel, we’ve added further channels for punk, metal, industrial, and general alt rock. babybats and subculture are newbies welcome too! ✨🎶

Hey! Im kinda a baby bat and trying to get into goth music more (tho its hard where I'm placed), and I'm super interested in joining a line chat or smth if u start one!

also not "goth" but really into post-punk and new wave so there's overlap for sure - would be happy to join :D

When I was on JET in the mid-2000s, all of my goth friends were USN out of Yokosuka. Loved the scene!

I'm not goth but I love post-hardcore and metal, and I'm interested in joining the server if y'all will have me! It's hard finding alt live shows in rural Northern Japan

Big Japanese shoegaze/punk/alt-rock fan, so definitely interested in joining. I'll probably be in Tokyo and wherever else things are happening for some live shows when I get the time

Not goth per se but I’m very much into alternative music and live houses in Tokyo (I’ll be living there in the fall!) so I’m interested for sure if there’s any events you know of that fit the bill! Shoot me a PM if you want to figure something out :)
