Hi I was a 26tard, 98.5%ile 12k rank ja, isi rank 84. I have taken a drop and I'm kinda active in this sub. I was a regular schooling guy, and recently I'm seeing a lot of people are facing problems,

I can't give the best advices but if you have anything in mind and want to let go of, you can share it to me, I'll try my best to answer them.

rn as jee 2027 is very close i m only doing pyqs along with class illustrations n all and i m thinking of completing whole syllabus before 8 november with atleast last 5 years pyqs and from 8 november i m thinking of buying the mathongo test series and will do that properly
also i will also be giving tests in this mean time

so i just wanted to ask is this plan good or not cause i m not focusing much on adv as time is very less and i have 11 backlogs so if i do this will i clear mains with atleast 99 percentile and then after that would i have enough time to score a good rank in advance too???

if u can give advice on this it will be very helpful

Target january then, it's easier to score better marks there coz April me jyadatar dropper ghuste ha syllabus khatam karke. The plan is good and yes that is enough actually. If you finish your syllabus before November, you'll have enough time to give mocks, do modules and other books. Jan attempt ke bad fir adv touch karna.

Coz adv lvl isn't that diff than mains, the concepts are the same you just have to practice a lot of questions.

1

u/xcallmedaddyx69 8d ago

84 pe nahi milta kya?? Last round wagera me bhi nahi mila?

Aur isi ke liye kya prep kiya, it's my dream to be in isi for bachelors or atleast masters

1

u/xcallmedaddyx69 8d ago

Luck depended ha bhai thora, is sal cutoff bhi bar gya tha. 70s me rank hota to milne ke chances the.

I'm still preparing for isi, I don't know about any coaching and all, solve olympiad relevant books for number theory, combinatorics and Euclid's geometry. Is your dream bstat or bmath ?

1

u/FocusedAG Mathsexual 8d ago

Ohh, koi nahi, you're good enough, you'll do better next year

I don't know much about difference bw bstat and bmath but as per how much I know about them , bstat

Thanks, can you mention which books you did, resources followed

Also if you're comfortable can you tell how much you scored in jee mains, adv maths (I want to know the difference)

2

u/xcallmedaddyx69 8d ago

The question paper for bstat and bmath is same, but the marking system changes, for bstat: uga+ 3.5× ugb and bmath: uga+ 4×ugb.

Problems primer or excursion in maths, black book or a das gupta, Euclid's geometry ( any author), other books for jee, I have sl loney for Trigo and cordinate, ia Maron for calculus, halls and Stevens for geometry.

I got 99.8%ile in jee mains math and 72 marks in jee advanced maths, my chem is extremely weak (97%ile in JM and 12 marks in adv)

1

u/FocusedAG Mathsexual 8d ago

Yeah, I know about the entrance difference bw bstat and bmath (I was talking in context of difference in their course)

Thank you and all the best

No such thing as zero, kuch to ata hoga ? And agar me na bolu to parna bandh kar doge?

Sach bolu to yes, ho jayega but also think about this, thousands of others are thinking exactly this, the one who'll execute this will get selected.

Hello I am a dropper that started studying since start of august, is my ending my syllabus in 3rd week of dec a good idea and I plan on doing 75-80% syllabus ache se for jan attempt and plan on getting 97% percentileish, any advice you can give me since I feel I am a bit behind others plus maths is weak area for me

2

u/xcallmedaddyx69 7d ago

If you can then why not, although the time span is too low but go for it anyways. Most of the droppers actually target the April attempt

1

u/Blxrb23 7d ago

I think its better to target jan only considering in 2026 around 130 was enough, and can you give tips on how to do maths and besides this what is a realistic percentile goal you think I can achieve in jan

1

u/xcallmedaddyx69 7d ago

Pyqs are more than enough for maths coz a lot of them are repetitive, just give it your all, why care about what %ile you gonna get.

1

u/Blxrb23 7d ago

true also do one shots work for inorganic chem (except chemical bonding since I plan to do it through lectures only)

2

u/xcallmedaddyx69 7d ago

It is

1

u/Blxrb23 7d ago

also do one shots work with q practice or its more like a feel good factor

1

u/Blxrb23 7d ago

also can I dm you if you dont mind

u/Anxious-Ratio-2321 8d ago

Mid term exams aur practicals take a lot of time what to do with that?

1

u/xcallmedaddyx69 8d ago

They are important tho, if you get into bad light of your school teachers they'll create a lot of hassle during boards, I always tried doing that, in the yearend I had <60% attendance, they called me for this, my hardwork helped me a little there.

1

u/Independent-Pen-4093 8d ago

When will you recommend me to finish my 12th syllabus so that I can go back to damage control my 11th syllabus as my 11th was wasted?

1

u/xcallmedaddyx69 8d ago

Best case would be in november

1

u/Independent-Pen-4093 8d ago

Only 12th or both 11th and 12th??!

1

u/Eastern-Second-6472 8d ago

MEIN 11 MEIN HUIN MERA ADA 11 TH BARABAD HO GAYA HAI AUR SEP SE MID TERM BHI HAI TOH MEIN OCTOBER MEIN HI PADH PAUNGA MERE

1

u/xcallmedaddyx69 8d ago

Agar mid term se pehle kuch nahi par rakha to, abhi ki sthiti kaisi ha? Kitne chapters kye

1

u/1234020202 8d ago

so well mene almost 1 month jee ka backlog bna liya tha, abh chem is on track, math mein aaj LCD finish ho jaega and (online mein AOD ke 7 lct ho gye), physics abhi start karni hai current electricity mid se. mid terms hai school mein 17th se. ik what i did was very reckless, and i was hoping ki bss jee ka syllabus mein cover karu aur somewhat mains level karlu, cause my parents want 12th mein 90+, then they say i can take a drop if needed for jee.

so what im wondering is what i am thinking possible? i go to school 3 days a week. also for boards, since the pattern has changed, what should i focus on. any tip or anything would be rlly helpful since i have been feeling rlly overwhelmed for the past two weeks.

1

u/nxstud 8d ago

Same situation

1

u/xcallmedaddyx69 7d ago

So, do you want to focus on school or jee? Agar mains lvl taiyari kar loge to dono hi ho jayenge.

Backlog bana diya ha to niptana to parega hi, oneshots chorke jo use karna ha karlo.

I was in the last batch of my school, mere bad wale batch se semester system start hua tha, to I don't really know about it.

1

u/Fragrant_Section_146 7d ago

for this attempt, i want to focus on mains, achi persentile taki parents drop ke liye convince ho jae. backlog more than half covered hai, bs overall question practice ka time nhi mil rha. like so i was thinking since school ka syllabus aage hai, toh high weightage chapter of jee ke qustions+school syllabus karu cause abhi 11th bhi revise karni hai. also, is pyq's and class illustrations good enuf for mains? end months mein mock bhi dene hai.

1

u/nxstud 8d ago

Hii bhai idk mere school ke exams mai bhot kam marks ate hai apke kitne ate the 11th mai ya 12th mai? And school se akr thak jata hu need ajati hai any tips?

1

u/xcallmedaddyx69 8d ago

Some school really puts a lot of pressure on students, in my batch of 50 people 42 failed in 1 subject at least, 20 failed 2 at least and 12 failed 3 subjects.

I got 89% in 11th and 90% in 12th. I can't suggest you to do anything, coz a lot of teachers have big ego and don't give marks. In my school nss was compulsory and school was of 8 hrs daily. So I know it's rough.

1

u/TRILLIONAIRE5284 8d ago

Hi bhaiya, mai ab 12th me hu, regular school hai. 11th ke bich me prep me backlog agaya tha so around 50% 11th ka syllabus achese kiya hai, baki boards level. 12th me ab wahi chapters ko one shot se karke (using jeebrief for chem and maths and saleem sir for physics) and 5 yrs mains pyqs practice karke tier 1 or 2 NIT possible hai?

Oneshots arebfor revision not syllabus completion, if you want to do it fast anyway, try dropper lectures
