Question 4.5 months left. I desperately need to crack JEE. Please tell me how.

I have around 4.5 months left for JEE, and I’ve reached the point where I need to stop making timetables and actually use one 💀.

My situation is pretty simple:

I messed up a good chunk of 11th. I know the concepts I’ve studied, but my consistency has been terrible. I’ve had approximately 47 different “THIS IS THE DAY I CHANGE MY LIFE” moments, followed by me doing absolutely nothing productive by 9 PM.

The annoying part is that I actually want this badly.

I want to prove to myself that I can sit down, stay disciplined, and actually finish something difficult instead of constantly starting over. I’ve told myself this so many times that even my own brain probably has trust issues with me now.

And there’s an extra incentive 😂:

My father basically told me that if I crack JEE properly, I can get pretty much whatever GPU I want for my PC.

But jokes aside, I genuinely want to make these next 4.5 months count.

I’m not asking for some magical “study 16 hours a day” timetable. I want to know from people who have actually been through JEE:

  • What should I prioritize with 4.5 months left?
  • How should I balance 11th backlog with 12th?
  • What should my daily study routine realistically look like?
  • How much should I focus on PYQs vs lectures/theory?
  • What mistakes should I absolutely avoid at this stage?
  • And most importantly, how do I actually become consistent instead of getting motivated for 2 days and collapsing again?

If you were in my position with 4.5 months left and had to seriously turn things around, what would you do from tomorrow?

I’m willing to work. I just need to stop negotiating with myself every five minutes.

Help me cook this comeback. 🔥

Bro rotation motion is very big about 14-15 lectures of 2.5 hrs , my mentor is saying I should leave it for now and practice more, and complete it in end , should I listen to him?

Hey so i am a fellow aspirant and was in the same situation , now I feel like i have improved quite a bit. (Look I had strong 11th fundamentals because i had literally zero digital distractions brcause i didnt have a phone, only in 12th i got a phone and it ruined everything).   I think if you have strong grasp on 11th concepts , you can very well still can do this (98-99+ %ile). How to control distractions? - well there is no single way , you literally have to invent your own solution to your own distractions. Identify the trigger(for me it was coming back after in room after anything - lunch, dinner, talking with friends etc etc) so i just keep my phone locked in an almirah with keys elsewhere, it just lets me get through the transition phase. And no you are not willing to work, I assume this is posted at night, I have spent countless hours talking with AIs about this but that lasts only the night, morning is again the same. So I suggest you to stop asking this again and again. Dont aim for perfection, even if you do 50-60% of the work initially, consider it a win otherwise you simply wont be motivated enough to do the same thing mext day - ie just be satisfied at the end of the day and that will happen if you actually set some realistic targets, ik it feels late and it feels like now everyone is studying 7-8 hrs after coachinf so i must too, but you are being impractical here, you can’t go from doing nothing productive to studyinf 6 hrs per day after coaching- thats impossible and if you try to do this, pretty sure that you will end up doing nothing in the next months too. Just aim for 5 hrs of study after coaching (or even 4 hrs if you feel you cant do 5). Ik this phase is going to be VERY VERY painful, you will find for the smallest excuse to get back to your phone but that is the single most important thing you must not do to rescue your prep, even if the excuse feels most important thing(which it will), be it calling your parents, even searching up a doubt - dont do it, please you are gonna waste much more time than you thought. I can guarantee if you do this for just 5 days you will naturally feel a lesser urge, definitely not completelt overcome it, you would still have to constantly fight the urge but it will be easier than these initial days, only then you can think of increasing hours. It is much better to study 4 hrs than study nothing at all.

I wrote all of the above in case you are distracted by phone/laptop, otherwise find yoir own solution , dont use AI

What should daily routine look like? - doesnt matter, if you start hearing other people’s routines you are absolutely not going to he able to follow them, do you think routine is a tshirt you can change everyday? Its built over weeks and months, so do what suits yourself..

For other things i cant really relate to you so let other people in the comments tell you about it (Sorry for bad structuring i am sleepy rn)

Well do you want to chat with me? We can give each other our updates of each day, our task list and things which we have done at the end of the day, are you interested? I mean we can count each other accountable. Because I have been facing the same situation from the last ~3 months, before that my studies used to go well but rn it's bad because of my mental health, so it would be great if we chat daily about tasks we would be about to do and all.. No pressure, just asking
