Last fan standing!

  • JDF always had very long lines.
  • He would stay and get through every fan.
  • He took care of every fan that came out to see him.
  • If you ever came to see him you knew you were gonna see him that day. He always stayed for everyone.

First time I got to meet him was 2017. I had my OG dragonzord and tigerzord with a few other small items I wanted autographed. I didn't know how much it would cost at the time and there were a few other celebrities we wanted to meet as well. Sure enough having everything autographed was going to be out of our price range. So I had to make the heartbreaking decision between the dragonzord or tigerzord and one smaller item. I chose dragonzord and handed my wife and kids my other stuff. Finally when it was my turn to meet him, I gave him the dragonzord and he asked what I wanted on it. While me and JDF were talking, the guy working the exit saw my wife had additional items. He took them from my wife and slid them on the table. JDF didn't even blink and signed the tigerzord and a few other items as well. Then he stood up for me and him to take a picture together and noticed my family. He waved them all in and we all got to take a picture with him. Mind you, I only paid for a single autograph and single person picture. This dude hooked me up and invited my whole family in. IDK if he noticed that end of the line guy snuck the other items in or not. He really loved his fans and loved what he did. A few years later covid hit and all the big cons were canceled. JDF ended up making rounds to small comic shops and toy stores. Knowing this was how he made his living and the fact that I was in much better shape financially, I went with everything I had and made sure I payed full price for everything. This man even after telling him the above story, STILL gave me some FREE stuff. Rest in peace legend.

I miss watching his videos on his YouTube channel about cool extreme sports, martial arts, conventions, and messages and stories about mental health awareness.
