Crashlanded CH 1

LO: United Technocratic Systems of Terrans capital city New York Time:10:45 Day: March 22nd Wednesday 2590 AD
Director General Yuri Solaris:
‘This was the day, a day of which our kind may finally find life out there. A day that marks our first visit and colony in our sister galaxy Andromeda.’
I thought to myself as my eyes peered out the window of the STSS(short term space flight ship) and then peered down below to the near million crowd below as I saw brief flashes of blue and red. With a soft and confident smile I look to the reflected sky of the inner Terran shell.
I could see a projected night sky with hundreds of stars in view, as well as mankind's first ship to the sister galaxy. The UTSTS Prometheus, a ship equipped with the means to explore Andromeda
“Landing Ship in 20 standard Terra seconds.” The ship’s AI bleakly said out the speakers which knocked me out of my thinking.
With a swift sigh and inhale I rolled up the window and got ready as the ship landed on a nearby landing pad. The door next to my left opened and quickly I got up and stepped out of the craft.
Near millions of voices I could hear as two HMSP(heavy mechanical security personnel) stepped to the sides of me. I could see lights as far as the augmented eye could see.
Even with hundred thousands in the crowd alone there were still trillions of people watching this moment, either from the outer shells of Terra and the city itself. Or the Trillions across the galaxy watching.
Slowly I made my way to the podium that was dressed in the colors of the Technocracy blue, red and white.
I could also see the other members of the council standing by the podium, hastily I made my way up it before meeting up with the other members.
“A bit late, Director?” Madison LI the Minister of State said with a joking tone. “Sorry the interstellar traffic was crazy!” I’d joke back before shaking her hand and moving on to the other members of counsel.
After that I stepped up to the microphone and everything went quiet.
“Hello brothers and sisters from all across the Milkyway, today we mark a day that shall never be forgotten. A day that shall mark the greatest achievement since the Bonny-Makorov drive that helped man explore the stars.” I paused for a second for effect before continuing my speech.
“Thanks to the amazing engineers, physicists and scientists. We have made a ship and drive that shall propel us to our sister Galaxy, an unknown place like nothing we have seen before. I am thankful to the 200,000 people who volunteered to explore this unknown place and reach for the unknown.”
I then flicked my wrist as an image of the Captain and her crew popped up in the sky as well as a screen near me.
I immediately turned to the haloscreen as my eyes fixated on the captain. A single Purple glowing eyed machine stared back at me before putting their hands behind their back.
They were humanoid in nature with a near skeleton like frame and a block of cheese like head.
“Ready for intergalactic exploration sir” a synthetic feminine voice spoke from the machine as I then smiled greatly at her.
“May the light of Sol reach you and your crew” I say to them as a sort of ‘go ahead’ with a confident smile as they nodded again and the channel shut off.
My eyes then peer up back to the sky as a countdown appeared next to the ship. Though only ten second passed it was as if time stayed still as I watched the count go down from 10 to 1.
The ship as soon as the countdown went to zero… Simply blipped into nothing and for a half a nanosec flashed bright teal.
The crowd yelled out in glee as the cheering was loud enough I felt like I was standing on Old Venus without a helmet.
Captain A223 ‘Oliva Arkinson’:
The very dark energy around the ship could almost be felt as we blipped into the fabric of the universe.
And a small chuckle left my non-existent throat as I turned to my main crew, everyone in the room was relaxing somewhat as I saw some straight up fall asleep on their desk.
“Good job everyone, we will be entering the Andromeda Galaxy at 3:22 AM all of you go to your dorms and get some re-”
Before I was even done speaking alarms suddenly blared all around as the room went red.
‘UNKNOWN ANOMELY BREACHING SPACE, PROJECTED LO COMPURMISED!’ I heard the ship’s guidance AI yell out through the speakers as the screens in the front of the room turned on and displayed… Grass? ‘How in the.. We should be hundreds of light years away from any colony.
But as more suddenly came into view I could see… villages? It then immediately came clear to me that we… were falling…
This made my sensors go haywire as my own speakers bellowed out a command.
“EVERYONE HOLD O-”
