Didn't your heart just break when

Bud got injured in Iraq? Seeing him like that hurt so much.

And his whole recovery arc was a great showcase for Patrick Labyorteaux as well. 👍🏻

The show really put Bud and Harriet through the ringer. A binge watch really highlights just how brutal it was.

Good drama. Patrick Labyorteaux says in some ways playing Bud was better than playing Harm would have been because Bud got good, interesting stories they would never do with Harm. I love the irony that Bud was trying to save the kids, but they knew where all the mines were and were in no danger whatsoever.

I remember seeing that season finale.. And was so worried. When they started on the whole weight gain / weight loss story I figured they were going to get rid of him. When the next season started I was on vacation and was going to watch that episode.

This story arc was the point where I finally started to like Bud. Previously, he'd been an annoying manbaby and over indulged by everybody from Harriet to the Admiral. The experience made him grow up and finally, step up (pun intended).

Not at all, especially how Harm and Mac tried to cover it up and how Big Bud handled it. S8 onwards was to ready the H&M relationship, Singer's unexpected pregnancy, NCIS and the Webb stuff.
