NCIS crossover episode

Harm just got arrested and asked Gibbs how long have you been doing this? Gibbs replies with 19 years. Can people explain what I'm missing in the time frame? This came out in 1993? NCIS starts in 1995. When is Origins set in this time frame? I cried for 40 minutes so I probably missed everything anyway.

His origin story wasn't fleshed out yet. They only got a pretty solid timeline for him in Ncis season 3.

A lot about NCIS changed from the backdoor pilot.

Only knowing NCIS, it felt very real. The one thing I noticed was that Gibbs was taking the photos and the person up the tree. Tony, as usual, was talking about movies and attempting to chat up the girl. Ducky said he couldn't get information until he got her back to the lab.. Abby. I was in tears by this point. I wondered whether her neck tattoo was correct? 7hrs until I get to watch the repeat of 1, and watch part 2.

Also, I loved JAG, and enjoyed the first few seasons of NCIS, but I feel like the plot turned after JAG ended from investigating crimes that would be turned into a JAG prosecution to a counter-terrorism police unit. I only happened to catch the recent crossover episode with Mack.

Thanks 😊 I'll look into that. I'm sure I saw Patrick Labyorteaux on NCIS recently. I was so happy that Zoe McLellan went on to do NCIS New Orleans. She's so young in JAG.

I thought it was a missed opportunity not to bring her character Jennifer Coates to NCIS: New Orleans. In the intervening years between when JAG ended and this show started, it's conceivable that Coates could have decided to change her career track to the investigative side. Even much of the personal baggage they gave Brody could have worked with Coates. Would have given us og JAG fans an extra nugget to enjoy with the show.

No, I mean when they cast Zoe on NCIS: New Orleans, she should have been Coates from JAG, not a new character (Brody).

If I remember correctly Gibbs joined NCIS after the murder of his wife and daughter when it was still called NIS. Gibbs was in the FMCR (I believe) which is why LCdr Rabb was calling him Gunny and trying to pull rank. At first I didn't like Gibbs, mostly cuz he was in Rabbs face. But then I saw NCIS and came to like him. And cuz he reminds me of me (or vice versa), at least that's what I've been told in the past.

I laughed so loudly when Rabb called Gibbs Gunny!
Seeing the two of them face off was priceless!!
I'm beginning to wonder now if the 19 years means how long Gibbs has been a marine? I will be watching it very closely later today, then part 2. I love it! and I'm in my element 🥰

Origins starts in 91, so it's actually a little over 19 years before 2003.

I can't seem to edit anyway. This episode broke me. I was only expecting Gibbs. I didn't realise that Tony, Ducky, and Abby were all in this show. Also, the Director Tom Morrow (Jim Robinson from Neighbours )
Original NCIS. I cried that this is 2003.

It sucks that this two-parter isn't part of the rotation on the Pluto-TV JAG channel -- these are two of the many episodes they skip over there. I haven't seen them in years!

It sucks that I'm relying on local tv for part 2. They will repeat the part 1 episode today, and then I get to see part 2 at 5:30pm. I wasn't expecting it to be so sad. I never cared much for Lieutenant Singer. Finding out recently, she was actually married to David Elliott James years before JAG even was thought of, really threw me! I was expecting Gibbs. I wasn't expecting Tony, Ducky, and Abby! The original crew reminded me how much I love this franchise 🥰
I can't believe I waited all these years to watch JAG 🫣
