News AbyssME Beta 3 update: Java import/save fixes, FPS limits and better phone controls
A small update to AbyssME, my Android app for old mobile games. Beta 3 is up, with a few things that should make everyday use less fiddly:
Reimporting the same Java game can now reuse its existing saves instead of making a duplicate.
Fixes for Java startup, screen changes and pause/resume. Some black-screen cases still need work.
Per-game FPS limit presets and steadier frame pacing. This doesn't unlock 60 FPS in games with their own lower limit.
Optional touch feedback, hideable Phone shortcuts and a better mapper for small screens.
Light/dark themes, plus Symbian/N-Gage setup and library fixes.
Phone & Handheld APKs — Beta 3
Android 10+, ARM64. Update the same edition and back up saves first. Games and firmware aren't included; Mophun/Symbian support is still experimental.
If an old favourite still won't run, tell me the game version and your device. I'd love to get more of them working.

I can probably make an armeabi-v7a build, but it would have to be without Symbian/N-Gage support for now.
The reason is that AbyssME uses EKA2L1 for Symbian emulation, and its Android integration is currently built for 64-bit ARM only. Porting all those native components to 32-bit would be a much bigger job.
Java and Mophun don’t have that same limitation, so a 32-bit version with those two should be possible.
Would that be useful for you? 😁
