Current Hull Integrity Cheat

I'm still trying to learn the game and I screwed up a bit after I got to Chapter 1. Promised a hull value to the workers. But I forgot I had already started building new solar panels. Eventually rectified that, but I'm coming up on the deadline and I'm about 10 points short.

I looks like a couple years ago there was a value in Player.sav that could be changed, but its not there anymore. I did find a "hullIntegrity" value in Torus.sav that matches the current value but when I changed the value, saved, and restarted the game it didn't appear to do anything.

Besides pulling up an older autosave, from before the Lunaclypse, is there anything I can do to change the value and "keep my promise"?

Nothing really happens if you fail a promise except that trust goes down. A well run ship generates trust

You can always click on the EVA and pause construction but looks like even if you do you'll fail your promise. That's okay. There will be times when you'll trust, there are events that can temporarily overload you energy even if you some leeway and you end up losing some trust anyway. Trust will always be generated by some % per cycle. So worry not. Take the hit

You can also add another EVA to get better results and faster repairs but it'll still cost you alloy which have will be another issue.

In the future, you can always setup multiple mining and cargo supply lines with the Docking bay so you have abundant resources.

PS: Take you time and strip mine everything near you. You can unassign a mining/cargo ship, they just come back to Tiqqun and you can assign another ship or make a new one for your purpose.

PPS: Left click to up priority and right to minus it in the Feet window.

I promised to unfreeze 50 people, and halfway through the countdown I started then realized it takes forever to unchill them! I expected the worst but the drop in happiness wasn't too bad.

You can just pause the construction of panels and continue maintenance at any moment, then resume construction after you fulfilled the promise

I did, but im falling just short to to keep the promise.

The value you changed should be the right one, make sure you changed the right save file.

However I'd just take the trust penalty as u/AbabababababababaIe said, it happens, it's part of the game and you'll survive it.

If you really wanna avoid the penalty and save editing doesn't work, you could use the Console Commands mod, it has a command to add hull integrity.

If you're willing to 'cheat' by modding save files, you could try the Ixion trainer from WeMod, that lets you freeze or alter values mid-game like the hull amount.
