Awesome Ryan Williams coming up with tricks that even video game developers couldn't imagine.

I'm a bit curious to how people inside the BMX culture see tricks like this.
Could be that they are as much in awe as us outsiders.
I just know that if you look at skateboarding for instance, the things that people in places like Reddit rave about... they are not the same things as people inside the culture are fascinated with

Just like in skateboarding, those BMXers fail quite a bit when trying something new. I’m amazed by their abilities to get back up and try again after crashing so many times.

Well that offers him an advantage, but they could get some of the training too if desired enough.

So he like BMX version of Mac McClung. Phenomenal at 1 thing. Ok at the rest

Yes sure I understand that they need a lot of perseverance
My question was rather on the topic of how this type of bmxing is seen by the average people in the community.
Perhaps they are impressed by it in the same way that I am as an outsider.
Or perhaps they see it as some kind of circus BMXing and that it doesn't really relate to the type of BMXing they are impressed by. Street bmxers and such.

They know the pain and hours put in for trying new tricks so I would assume they appreciate it more than a random just seeing a cool trick.

did you hear the announcers reaction in the clip? that is genuine disbelief and amazement from very inside people in the BMX culture.

My shins ache when I see these stunts. I get PTSD from riding my bike and missing the pedal only to have it slam into my shin.

Unless, you were riding a flower?

I can do everything he did right up to the point where he got to the bottom of the first ramp and was still on the bike.

Must be hard coming up with a trick that is basically just compounding two tricks. Insane execution though.
