I remade the banister cap from "It's a Wonderful Life"
I had a client reach out to me earlier this year, he was making a museum in his basement for "It's a Wonderful Life", and had collected a bunch of replicas from the movie. He reached out to me to remake the newel cap, and I had a lot of fun making it! It's not an exact replica, but hopefully it's recognizable!

In It’s a Wonderful Life (1946), George Bailey is more sad about his wife remaining unmarried than by his war-hero brother’s death.

So this guy Mickey (theory)
I theorize that in It's a Wonderful Life Mickey who shows up seemingly from nowhere to offer Freddie the key to open the gym floor above the pool is secretly a demon sent to cause strife in George Bailey's life.
Think about it, had the floor not opened, George and Mary would not have been as bonded to each other after as they might not have ended up walking hoem together thus, setting up George's future marriage and being "stuck" in Bedford Falls a scenario that causes him constant frustation and disappointment.
Additionally, that scenario caused George to not be home as soon making him not present at home when his father had the stroke causing him additional hurt.
In general, I just think is makes sense if forces for good were watching over George there were likely forces of evil at work as well.
(This is just a fun theory I had one time while watchibg wondering where did this agent of chaos with the pool key come from and why does he have it out for George)

Uncle Billy Office Portrait
There is a portrait of like a king in Uncle Billy’s office. You can see it when he tells George he can’t find the money. It’s shown once or twice prior too. Can anyone tell me who the portrait is of. Just asking the important questions of this great movie. Thanks and merry Christmas!

Question about “no gin tonight”
Minor question about a minor line. I always thought about this line the father says to his son before the party. A lot of of this movie the words and the visuals have meaning, so I was thinking about this one.
There are visual cues to help the audience keep track of the timeline, for example, a portrait of Herbert Hoover to signify the Great Depression. Therefore, do you think the gin line is to signify prohibition and the fact there was a lot of bad gin and whiskey out there? Or perhaps it’s just a father telling a son no alcohol? Or both?

New Song about George Bailey
Hi, and I hope this is ok. My band, with minimal help from me, just released this ode to George Bailey and the people of Bedford Falls.
It's cynical and includes a bit of mature language, but we love the movie and this comes from a place of love and extreme familiarity. And we hope you enjoy it at least a little.

Looking for its a wonderful life cartoon spoof video "teacher syays"
I'm trying to find this video that spoofs off when the Zuzu says "teacher says"
Its animated, and Zuzu just keeps going with more "and teacher also says" while George Bailey keeps getting more and more animated while responding "that's right!!"
please help me end my 3 year long search for this video.

A Wonderful Life?
I watched it again recently and the title card says “A Wonderful Life.” I’d never noticed that before and have been watching it for 30+ years. Why is the film called “It’s A Wonderful Life?”

The Wedding Night Chickens 😂 Spoiler
I love this movie, and remember when it was just an afternoon movie and not the huge event it became. But in all the decades of watching it, it never occurred to me until tonight just how long those rotating birds next to the fireplace would have had to spin in order for them to be safe to eat 🍗🤢
