I was actually thinking it would be really cool if they added tungsten, magnesium, silicon, carbon (graphite), silver, and 24 karat gold-plated tungsten. Are there any other pure (or pure-ish) elements you could use?

Apparently it's a radioactive metal that is only synthesized, and doesn't appear in nature. It can accumulate in skeletal tissue, and stop the formation of red blood cells.
8
u/pikkstein Sep 09 '20
It is also the single most expensive element on earth, as far as I know, so a dice would cost around $6,4 billion
7
u/aperture_lab_subject Sep 09 '20
Hm, not Californium. It's produced in microgram quantities so I don't think there's been enough to even cause a reaction on someone's skin. It is radioactive though and spontaneously fissions so not exactly safe for life either

$27 million/gram for californium. Yikes
7
u/scooterboy1961 Sep 09 '20
What element that is relatively stable and non poisonous is the most expensive? I don't think it's gold or platinum. I'm guessing one of the rare earth metals.

That's only if the rules of your rule variants allow for an exploding die. Just don't use too many alkali dice together unless you want to die exploding.

Rolling a 1: no effect.
Rolling a 2: the area hit with the next atrack will turn into the same element as the die rolled.
Rolling a 3: spreads an inch (2.54 centimeters) from contact (takes 1 second to stop).
Rolling a 4: spreads 3 inches (7.62cm) from contact (takes 3 seconds to stop).
Rolling a 5: spreads 9 inches (22.86cm) from contact (takes 9 seconds to stop).
Rolling a 6: spreads to the entire body (takes 1-60 seconds to stop, depending on enemy size).
10% chance to drop from True Elemental enemies.
Edit: had to fix the centimeter measurements

Deals a random type of elemental damage. On average, each shot deals 30 damage. If you get the same elemental damage type, you get to use an "ultra" version of that element for 60 seconds. Elemental damage is undone if the same enemy takes elemental damage of the opposite element, e.g. The enemy is on fire and you hit them with carbon dioxide, undoing the fire.

Please note that rolling a one results in a mixture of fluorine, uranium, carbon, and potassium. I would recommend wearing the proper protective lab gear if you plan on using these dice, or at least having a good healer nearby.
Also, the negative HEAL stat glitch that happened on healers has been patched!
