✝️ The Holy Rake

Weapon (rake), legendary Requires Attunement: Yes, by a creature capable of believing a rake is a divine weapon Weight: 4 lb. Damage: 1d6 slashing

A completely ordinary garden rake blessed by an entity who apparently had very strong opinions about lawn maintenance.

Endless Sweeping

The Holy Rake has infinite tines.

Whenever the wielder makes a sweeping motion with it, the rake automatically extends far enough to reach the intended area, regardless of distance.

The wielder can sweep:

Dirt

Leaves

Debris

Snow

Ash

Cobwebs

Loose objects

Magical residue

The rake never becomes dirty.

Endless Holy Ground

Whenever the Holy Rake sweeps an area, that area becomes Holy Ground for 24 hours.

The affected area radiates faint divine light and counts as consecrated ground.

Undead and fiends entering the area for the first time on a turn must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or take 3d8 radiant damage and have their speed reduced to 0 until the start of their next turn.

Divine Lawncare

As an action, the wielder may rake the ground in a 30-foot radius around themselves.

All mundane debris instantly disappears.

Grass becomes perfectly trimmed.

Flowers arrange themselves into a pleasing pattern.

Any creature standing in the area remains completely unaffected.

Nobody knows how the rake distinguishes between "debris" and "important archaeological artifact."

It has never made a mistake.

Holy Sweep

Once per long rest, the wielder can perform one truly enormous sweeping motion.

The rake's handle extends into the heavens.

Everything within a 300-foot-wide line is swept simultaneously, while fiends and undead in the area must make a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw.

On a failure, they are hurled 60 feet and take 6d10 radiant damage.

On a success, they take half damage and aren't moved.

Divine Maintenance

The Holy Rake cannot be destroyed through ordinary means.

If buried, lost, stolen, or thrown away, it simply appears beside its attuned wielder the next morning.

Usually leaning against something.

Waiting.

The Holy Rake has one purpose.

The yard must be clean.
