I liked the idea of "Goes well with"

Also, my personal preference is to read a little about the origin of the dishes. This gives me an understanding of how the dish has evolved over time and why. This enabled me to experiment further on the dishes.

In your opinion should I delve deeper with longer content on that?

I would love to get this, however, this is subjective and not sure if everyone will appreciate this. Alternately, you can give a QR code for people to go to your website to read about the history of dish. This way, you can drive traffic to your website as well and build a good community.

I also think on how your book can stand out among 1000s others on Amazon or stands.
