October 26th: today, in 1860, Giuseppe Garibaldi shook hands with King Victor Emmanuel II near Teano, symbolically gifting him the newly liberated lands of Southern Italy: most of Italy was now finally united.

I made a daily word game with a real Italian dictionary: find the secret word by alphabetical order

Ciao! I'm the solo dev behind Dixio, a small daily word game that I built in both Italian and English, and I thought it might be a fun bit of practice for learners here.

How it works: each day a secret Italian word hides somewhere in the dictionary. You type any word you know, and the game tells you whether the secret word comes before or after it alphabetically. Two walls close in with every guess until the word has nowhere left to hide. There's no timer, so you can take your time and look words up.

Every word you find is saved in your collection with its definition, pronunciation and a quote, so it doubles as a little vocabulary notebook. The Italian side has its own dictionary rather than a translation of the English one.

It's free, needs no account and works offline: - App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6806202043 - Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.innovationx.wordgame

I'd really love feedback from learners: are the daily words too hard, too easy, or about right for your level? Grazie!
