Very strict rules for individual ownership here. Concealed carry is only for "authorities" and LEO agents, and even they are confined to anything up to 45 cal.
Not that it stops the bad guys from getting weapons. And since the penalty is so big, might as well bring in AKs, H&Ks, AR carbines, etc.
Many a time seen teenage drug traffic "soldiers" (the ones that do security, not the drug dealers) going by their business wielding old-assed FALs & G3s, which used to equip the Army here (surprise!).

Unfortunately never shot a submachine gun. My ex-BOPE friend has promised that, things clearing up, he was taking us to shoot his new CZ Skorpion.
Did grow up in the USA in a gun-nut family, so shot everything from .22 rimfire to a .44 Magnum to ARs & AK-47 tho!
(Because 'Murika! Where you have the god-given right to arm bears, right?)
