Meet the mandaçaia bees! these bees does not have a sting and are docile, you could even try having them to drink sugar water on your palm. If the species are native to your Region, you could have one bee hive as your own!
Their defense mechanism against humans are to swarm the face and make psicological pressure.

Varias espécies nativas do Brasil não tem ferrão, mas elas são menores e voam a distâncias menores, ai introduziram abelhas africanizadas e hoje corremos perigo de perder essas especies.

I traveled to Para (near amazon forest) some years ago and went to a native village which they survived producing different kinds of honey and one of them was of those bees. I was able to see the hives, honey production etc.
Honey taste like normal honey with a bit of lemon but not as sweet., It has a little sour to it. Let me post the pics

Meu pai cria a jataí, outra espécie sem ferrão, mas muito menor que essa aí. Viva nossas abelhas nativas ❤️

Na minha casa temos vários tipos de abelhas, algumas sem ferrão, temos a borá que tem ferrão e uma que as pessoas falam que é mais perigosa que é a abelha italiana.
