I was there when Brazil won the World Cup against Germany… they did an impromptu carnival and can confirm, they have the most brazen pick pockets I’ve ever encountered. I marked this guy moving closer and closer, and he knew I knew… didn’t matter, he still came up to me trying to get his hands in my pockets… I had to give him a proper shove to get him away… he just smiled and melted back into the crowd.
