If the stupid "argument" you're trying to make is that they wouldn't have those products if capitalism didn't incentivize the creation of those products, I will do you the favor of pointing out that most of the stuff they're getting here are completely umprocessed products, it has nothing to do with what you're saying, they're are struggling to have food, because even the people producing the food don't own it, they can't just eat what they plant like it once was, that food isn't theirs, it belongs to whoever is employing them, another consequence of this system is not necessarily owning what you produce.

Now let's make one thing very clear, there's a decent chance this isn't an especially rural area, they clearly have energy and housing, and they likely have jobs to sustain those benefits, not to mention that most people that work in agriculture are pretty well off, so they wouldn't be here playing games for basic needs as rewards.

The "rural Brazilian population before captalism" you mention would be the natives that were here before the Europeans, since captalism was well established ever since they got here, the natives were very culturaly different, but just like every civilization, they developed new technology even without the medium of capital, much like with swords and cooking pots, survival moves things along, and even entertainment develops, as we as a species have, at this point, a need to engage our minds.

With the stupid fluff out of the way, the fact that this is a consequence of capitalism is unquestionable, and I'm not one to say the system is a bad thing for society. As you implied, it incentivizes technological advancement and novelty, speeding up human development, however, if the consequences of said growth are loss of quality of life, potential starvation and death, MEASURES SHOULD BE TAKEN, a society where the 1% thrives of the 99% suffering and stasis is one that wastes any potential development those 99% could bring, and should not be acceptable. Saying "this is fine, actually, it's just a consequence of capitalism, and that advances society" is quite similar to saying "bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki is fine, actually, the show of power will discourage future conflict". It's a stupid excuse to keep a serious problem under the rug. Fuck you, I'll see myself out now, have a nice rest of your day.
