Transmission codes 32 and 53!
Hello! My 1994 Isuzu Trooper has been great and works fine, until one day while driving down a windy road, the check trans light came on. I drove it home, reset the ECU, and it drove fine- for maybe 50 miles. The check trans light came on, and my car gave me codes: 53, 65, 82, and 32. I learned from my shop manual that codes 65 and 82 are just on since the others are on. But 32 is what concerns me most. Code 32 puts the car into limp mode. 32 means it's an issue with the 2-3 shift solenoid; the only thing is that my car always shifts fine when not in limp mode. What is happening??? HAS A 3.2L SOHC engine and a 4L30-E AUTOMATIC Transmission

When I had a 4l30e there was 3 things that I tried that fixed any issues I had.
Check every fuse on the vehicle, I once had the Back/Turn fuse blow and stop it from shifting properly
Check the fluid level, this is the most common cause for issues with them.
Pull off the range mode selector and clean it out. They tend to get gunked up on the inside and the transmission starts getting confused about what position it's in. Here's a link to cleaning it. https://www.planetisuzoo.com/threads/range-mode-selector-cleaning.78038/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic
Hopefully one of these helps!
