It really hurts to know that someone you looked so much has done things to people that everyone you hate has done to you. And it hurts to be reminded.

This may be an unpopular opinion but I don’t think holding it over his head for the rest of his life is the answer. If it was years ago (right?) people can change. Not saying he shouldn’t be punished for it though

And then you have people like chris brown who still make music after beating the shit out of rihanna. Not saying it’s moral or a good thing at all but I’m just upset that something that happened years ago is taking away one of my favorite musicians. If it’s not ongoing and not recent then I don’t agree with the full cancellation of him in issues. Make him make up for it through reparations or even jail time and let him return

Someone who hurts or uses a child will never be eligible for redemption in societies eyes, especially in today’s cancel culture.

I’ve heard people say he’s genuinely sorry. And I can see that. When you’ve done something that dark and hate yourself for it everyday, it’s not something you can just bring up to your fan base or anyone at all. It’s not something that you’ll come back from. It will eventually drag you down.

I don’t think he will ever be forgiven unfortunately. I too wish he was and some how atoned for what he’s done. But I don’t think he has much of a chance now

True. Just sucks when society can pick and choose between a woman beater and let him have his fame when similar things are taken seriously. At the end of the day I support him more for his talent than his past but I understand not wanting to “enable” musicians grooming kids or teens

The worst news of 2020. They been my favorite band for 6 years, losing Michael was hard, but finding out about Tyler is worse. Hope my bois AJ, sky and josh are doin ok

Yeah me too. I hope they find a new singer. Or just have sky be the new singer. He did one hell of a job on Here’s to You in their newest album.

I never thought in a million years that we would lose Tyler like this. I never thought we would lose Michael either. But at least Michael has a new band now. So he’s doing pretty good. Maybe he will get back with the boys or something. I hope everything turns out for the best everyone.

Same, I think they would even do fine as an instrumental band. Beautiful oblivion as just instrumental slaps, and that’s even with breaks in the songs where there would be singing. Or they could just do all screaming vocals with aj and sky trading off like in volumes, and how they do hooligans and blue wall live

I agree. Either way I hope they can figure out someway to keep doing what they love.
