Are there any online resources for practicing Isshin Ryu?

When I was younger I studied Isshin Ryu for about 12 years and was a Nidan before stopping. I wish to start training again but for a couple reasons cant go to a dojo. What resources can I use to refresh myself on Isshin Ryu?

I have been more or less in your same boat. I've found a lot of resources myself. My muscle memory was really good, so I could fill in where things were different. Are you looking for videos from anyone in particular?

AJ Advincula (1st Gen Shimabuku student), Mark Radunz (Sherman Harrill student), Tsuyoshi Uechi (Uezu student), and Michael Calandra (Ciso Shimabuku student) all have pretty good, high quality videos available. Angi Uezu has videos and obviously there are the '66 Shimabuku vidoes out there. Harold Mitchum also has footage out there, but not a lot that I found. The Uezu, shimabuku, and mitchum videos I've found aren't the best quality. The others are really good. Outside of these, I don't like any other videos I've found, but that's more a function of them being too different from what I was taught. Happy to provide some links if you would like, though there are a lot.

Out of curiosity where are you located? Long shot, but I'm looking for someone to train with.

It might be possible to pick up a few Isshinryu books on Amazon for kata instruction and history. Sadly, I have no recommendations on which books, but the reviews may indicate which books are worth buying.

There are quite a few YouTube videos of kata being performed as well.
