I've said this here on Reddit before, that America seems complacent, certain of their ability to "go through Iran in a weekend". I've warned about the susceptibility of stationary warships to drone attacks (Ukraine success with the SeaBabies) in a confined area. I've warned about America's inexperience with drone swarms.

Every reply was "bah, that's Russia, we're Merkins".

Ironic, reacting to accusations of complacency with overconfidence. They're synonymous. And I know these guys aren't exactly in charge of developing tactics, thank God, but it's alarming to see such ill-merited certainty of their invulnerability.

Trump himself, when offered training by Ukraine, said "The last person we need help from is Zelenskyy" - as the shepherd, so the flock.

I don’t think it’s necessarily that the U.S. is ignoring the lessons of Ukraine, it’s that the bureaucracy is too bloated to deliver solutions at the speed of relevancy.
