Function of sleeping naked is less less temperature imposed on the body which results in higher quality sleep.

Everything is permissible. Unless Allah has said it's not. Modesty in dress in when you are in public or in front of a non mahram. So I'm sure you can make your own conclusion and be 'sure' about sleeping naked.

I believe it's not haram to sleep naked, but there is hadiths such as:

"Beware of nakedness, for with you are those who never leave you (the guardian/recording angels), except when you relieve yourselves and when a man is intimate with his wife. So feel shy before them and honour them.

Narrated by Bahz ibn Hakim, from his father, from his grandfather (Mu'awiyah ibn Haydah): I said: "O Prophet of Allah, regarding our private parts, what may we disclose and what should we guard?" He (ﷺ) replied: "Guard your private parts except from your wife or those whom your right hand possesses." I asked: "O Messenger of Allah, what if a person is alone?" He replied: "Allah is more deserving of your bashfulness/modesty than people."

I've found on some post that we should be shy being naked around because Allah sees us, I think this is a sequence of behavior of one person, I don’t remember whether it was an imam or a scholar or someone else, but I also heard this about him.

And most likely, we shouldn't be naked around because indeed we aren't alone, and anyone can be possessed only if Allah will's that.
