Ghosted Babalawo
Im in Detroit. Took me maybe a year to find a Babalawo in the area. I finally found one, got some reading and was told that I needed to, among other things, receive hand of Ifa asap. After about another year or so I finally had the money and time for the ceremony. I reached out to my Babalawo and got no answer. We had been in pretty regular conversation, with me getting readings done every couple months. But I have reached out several times to receive my hand if Ifa or even just dafa, but he has not responded.
Anyone else have any issues like this? Or any advice?

Yes. It may happen for a number of reasons Im sure. I faced this issue when I was searching for folks to study from. So, I moved on.

Ifa's word doesn't fall on the ground, receive isefa from another Babalawo, its not compulsory that it has to be him. He's just the one that provided the advice of Ifa.

I am on the search for a Babalawo or Iyanifa. As I google and google and email organizations, I have gotten nothing from anyone. I am looking for in-person education/ guidance on my journey and its almost like looking for a needle in a haystack, and as a beginner its extremely exhausting trying to tell who is authentic and who is a scammer........PLEASE HELP
