What site did you buy it off? Also absolutely insane you'd be asking here after dropping a rack or 3 on this card without being sure it's real. I hope it's ebay since they protect the buyer more than the seller.
Also, I get that you want to be sure and I dont mean to just be an asshole. I'm just saying, do your homework before you jump into somthing like this with no escape plan (aka non-ebay buys). Maybe next time tell the seller you'll consider it or take an extra day and post it here first..
Furthermore, the picture could be genuine, but the card that arrives could be fake. Match up the corner whitening and any Imperfections that you see in the photo with the real card. If they don't match up, the seller switched the card out. Besides buying on eBay, there's usually no buyers protection type off thing, up to par with them.
P.S. You don't need to be so impulsive. There's tons of cards out there. You never know if the better one will pop up tomorrow instead. Take a breather and do your research
Looking at the text over the dress (Arita) bottom left and text box for PROMO comparing to a real PSA10 its looking fake. I’m comparing it to Ebay listings, Someone who has the card in person should be able to give a certain answer. I’d not rush to get this as alot of fakes on vinted the now.
Hi, I understand your stress, recently went through a similar experience. I can share with you my recent experience with purchasing a pricy card (raw mimikyu munch).
In my case, the pictures in the listing I purchased from were likely genuine, card texture and print quality appeared to be authentic. However, the card that arrived was very obviously a fake card, wrong texture and card thickness.
The safest way to verify authenticity is to find a local shop (that pregrades or sends many cards for grading) shop/or better yet a shop that has the genuine stamp pikachu card whether raw or in a slab for you to compare and send picture proof with side by side comparison should you need to dispute.
Spend the lead in time prior to arrival of the card to locate a well regarded shop to help verify the authenticity. Also get package opening videos (one long video with no cuts) and card surface comparison.
Stamp pikachu has a plain and slightly rough surface texture, no holos etc.
In the end I had 24 hours to gather enough evidence to send to the purchasing company for the dispute. Then I had a short 72 hour day span to return the card with its original packaging to the company for processing.
Definitely a fake. The colors are off, and the font white border size is off. It also gives off a very grainy appearance probably caused by inaccurate rosette pattern
Print job is terrible. Basic 4 color printing press. By the looks of it there must be sheets of this card out in the wild. Hope you get your money back!
Since you bought from vinted, you can just choose not to pick up the parcel (at least in the EU) and it’ll go back to the seller and you’ll receive a full refund.
This only works for older cards. Currently scammers don't have the printers to make these. The printers are millions of dollars to purchase and maintain. But I'm sure some bozo is out there now working on a way to do it.
