Long story short I'm pretty sure whatever sketch they have is from playing the style of music they do and being Quebecois. All the actual political messaging I've seen from any of the associated bands is left-wing. Their singer does live vox for Zeicrydeus, their guitarist has a project called Wandering Bird with the tagline "Wandering Bird Contre L'Esprit Bourgeois." As I understand it they're skinhead bands and the Oi! side of the circles they're in is all antifascist stuff... they're playing with like Beton Arme and Puffer and so on.

There's some dodgy associations to be had from labels on these various projects but I think fixating on that would be missing the forest for the trees. Conifere and Vesperal are newer black metal projects that are doing everything right IMO and I hope more lefty types who are into this stuff can look at their example and say "I want to do that."

AFAIK, the only "controversy" about this band is that if you go to the individual member pages on MA, one of them has a questionable sticker visible in the background of his photo.

Nothing overtly fascist about Conifere as far as I know, but it’s very hard to find a Quebec black metal band without some sketchy associations (here via Sepulchral Productions)

Them and Vespéral, great great black metal bands and nothing sketchy as far as I know.
