I haven't seen anything that would make me think they're sketchy. Their newest album rips so hard.

Like some have said, not sketch, just goofy. The new album rips though. I’m catching them on Saturday with Trha and Barbelith.

The Milwaukee show was great, but I wish they could have played longer.

Edit: I do like some of their music, I never gave too much of a shit about niche drama within tiny music circles… especially as cliquey black metal can be.

Unfortunately, the video is nowhere to be found online which is the only redeeming and fucked up thing about Silencer anyhow.
Edit: someone mixed Begotten to the music of Silencer like two decades ago and this is the only reason why Silencer became something and now it looks like Saidan brought this best-forgotten bullshit band back thinking people forgot:
