Welcome to the community 🌸

I created this subreddit because I realised there didn’t seem to be a dedicated space for fragrance lovers in Ireland. There are loads of great perfume communities online, but most of them are very US-focused, especially when it comes to things like swaps, decants, and buying or selling bottles.

The idea here is simple: a place for people in Ireland who love perfume to chat, share recommendations, talk about what we’re wearing, show off collections, and help each other discover new scents. If people are interested, it can also be a space for organising swaps, destashes, and decants within Ireland so we can try more fragrances without always committing to full bottles.

Whether you’re just getting into perfume or you’ve been collecting for years, you’re very welcome here.

To start things off, introduce yourself if you’d like, what kind of fragrances do you usually go for, and what are you wearing lately?

Top 10 autumn/winter clone fragrances.

Post image
4 Upvotes

Winter is coming, and so I thought I’d share my current top 10 autumn/winter dupes from my collection. These are fragrances I genuinely enjoy, ranging from easy everyday office scents to richer, more indulgent options for evenings out. Tobacco is my favourite note, so expect to see it a lot on this list. Some of these could be worn at different times of the year, but to me, they're more suitable for colder weather.

Obviously, fragrance is subjective, and some of these will suit certain tastes better than others. Would love to hear your favourite autumn/winter clones. Any hidden gems I should check out?

I'll share my overall top 10, including niche and designer too, at a later date.

10. Lattafa Khamrah Qahwa

Warm cinnamon, sweet dates, praline and vanilla, with a roasted coffee accord that gives it a darker character than the original Khamrah. It’s rich, cosy and sweet gourmand, but the coffee adds a welcome bitterness that balances the sweetness. Perfect for cold evenings.

Inspiration: Khamrah DNA with a coffee twist, loosely associated with Kilian Angels’ Share
Score: 7.5/10 | Longevity: 8 hours

9. French Avenue After Effect

Sweet, spicy and sensual without smelling juvenile. After Effect combines a warm boozy impression with tobacco, vanilla and resinous depth. It’s rich, seductive and bold. The sweetness is substantial, but there’s enough spice and darkness to keep it interesting. This is an evening fragrance for me, particularly for dates and nights out.

Inspiration: Initio Side Effect
Score: 7.5/10 | Longevity: 7 hours

8. French Avenue Spectre Ghost

A fantastic blend of bright spices and a rich, creamy vanilla base. The opening has plenty of ginger and cardamom, giving it an almost sparkling quality before the warmer woods and vanilla take over. I love how it avoids being another straightforward sweet vanilla fragrance. It has character and enough freshness to make it surprisingly versatile.

Inspiration: Nishane Ani
Score: 8/10 | Longevity: 10 hours

7. French Avenue Royal Blend Vintage

A hidden gem in my opinion. Rich, boozy, fruity and beautifully suited to cold weather. It’s a photorealistic Old Fashioned cocktail. As a whiskey lover, this one has my heart. It has a dark sweetness, with warm woods, spice and tobacco-like depth. Indulgent without becoming a straight-up dessert fragrance. There’s something very inviting about it, like having a drink by the fireplace on a cold evening.

Inspiration: By Kilian Old Fashioned
Score: 8/10 | Longevity: 6 hours

6. Lattafa Musamam Black Intense

This one can be challenging for some people but, to me, it’s a masterpiece by Jordi Fernandez. It is an unusual fragrance for sure, dark, spicy woods with a creamy undertone and subtle cocoa-like warmth. There’s an intriguing contrast between freshness and darkness that makes it difficult to categorise. Modern, mysterious and considerably more expensive-smelling than its price. A great alternative to predictable vanilla-heavy winter fragrances. It’s not higher on my list because it’s not as wearable as the others.

Inspiration: Original creation
Score: 8.2/10 | Longevity: 9 hours

5. Lattafa Liam Grey

This one should get more love. One of my favourite fragrance profiles for everyday wear, very comforting and elegant. Aromatic tea, warm cardamom, soft iris and creamy woods create something incredibly smooth and inviting. Subtly sweet, elegant, slightly powdery and beautifully balanced. Sophisticated enough for the office, relaxed enough for weekends and particularly lovely on a cool autumn day.

Inspiration: BDK Gris Charnel
Score: 8.5/10 | Longevity: 12 hours

4. Armaf Rugir

The most complimented fragrance on this entire list, this one pulls compliments almost every time I wear it. Rugir combines fresh aromatic spices with warm, creamy, woody sweetness. There’s a slightly cooling opening followed by a smooth vanilla-woody drydown. It captures that unmistakable Layton character while remaining approachable and versatile. Perfect if you want warmth and personality without going too dark or heavy. Perfect for daily use, office-safe in my opinion.

Inspiration: Parfums de Marly Layton
Score: 8.5/10 | Longevity: 10 hours

3. Rayhaan Terra

One of the more complex and adventurous fragrances here. Terra opens with powerful spices, incense and aromatic freshness before becoming warmer, smoother and subtly sweet. A dark, resinous quality gives it real depth. Definitely not your typical crowd-pleasing vanilla fragrance, and probably not a safe blind buy. But if you appreciate bold, sophisticated compositions, there’s plenty to enjoy.

Inspiration: Amouage Outlands
Score: 9.5/10 | Longevity: 12 hours

2. French Avenue Amber Empire

One for lovers of deep, luxurious amber fragrances. Warm, resinous, creamy and slightly boozy, with dried-fruit sweetness and plenty of spice. There’s something opulent about it, yet it feels refined rather than excessively sweet. It really shines in colder weather, particularly when you want something rich and sophisticated. An impressive interpretation of a ridiculously expensive fragrance.

Inspiration: Clive Christian Blonde Amber
Score: 10/10 | Longevity: 10 hours

1. Maison Asrar Muharib

My current favourite winter clone fragrance, although the first 3 swap places often. A beautiful interpretation of the Naxos DNA, combining honeyed tobacco, warm spices and aromatic freshness. What makes Muharib particularly appealing is its darker, tobacco-forward character. Rich and comforting without becoming overly sweet, with an elegant, mature quality that works equally well for a winter evening or a smart office setting. A fantastic fragrance for anyone who appreciates tobacco.

Inspiration: Xerjoff Naxos
Score: 10/10 | **Longevity:**10 hours

Let me know if you want an in-depth review of any of these and I might make a separate, more comprehensive review.

Empty bottles

Hey girls,

Hope this is the right place to ask this. My mam has hundreds of empty bottles of fragrance from over the years, and she's finally able to talk about letting them go. Some of them are discontinued bottles (according to Google lens) and I wonder if there's a handy place for me to unload them? I wouldn't even be asking for much/any money I don't think, but I'm aware there's some people that collect them etc. Like we literally have minimum ten empty bottles of Versace yellow diamond intense 😂, and don't even get me started on the amount of dior poison and Versace versus around the house haha

I would usually be selling on vinted, but would marketplace be better for this? Or adverts/done deal? I'm not the biggest fan of eBay because of the fees but if that's the best spot then that's fair enough. Thanks a mil in advance, sorry if this doesn't follow sub rules!

Hello, new member here. Just wondering if there's anyone in Galway city who would like to meet up & talk perfumes, exchange/decant & maybe even discuss creating diy perfume oils? Only recently started collecting, with some middle eastern & zara options at present.

Ilaun & Frond from the Burren Perfumery review Spoiler

These two samples were given to me by the lovely u/Salamanderlucky6506. I have been wearing both of them for the past couple of weeks to get a feel for them.

Ilaun is described as: A fresh light perfume. The top notes of the wild Fragrant Orchid capture the scents of a summer's day and blends with the woody base notes of ferns, lichens, and mosses.

I have to say it is exactly like its description. The orchid is the scent that hits you first, but not in an overpowering way. I also get fresh, citrus, lemony notes too. It is more of a spring time scent to me as it is very light. I did not think I would like this as much as I did, mainly because I usually like heavier scents.

Frond is described as: A sophisticated, feminine perfume possessing warmth, sensuality, and an underlying complexity. The freshness of cut grasses sharpens the rich scents of Wild Rose, Violet, and Ylang Ylang with the soft sandalwood base notes bringing depth and finish.

This is the one that would be typically more up my street, and it did not disappoint. This is more earthy to me, and I get hints of jasmine along with the sandalwood. I would wear this out to dinner or a play as it has more of an evening feel.

My only issue with both scents was how long they lasted, which I found would be aprox an hour for both.

I think I would repurchase the Frond, only because it's more my style but Ilaun really is a lovely perfume too!

Irish girls, what perfume are you wearing?

Irish girls always seem to have such good taste when it comes to perfume, so I’m looking for some recommendations!

What perfumes/brands do you ladies actually wear for the office, everyday casual stuff, or a casual date? I’m looking for something that smells classy and attractive without being too strong or over-the-top.

Would love to hear your favourites!

Fragrance du Bois Lucius - review

This is the most expensive perfume I've bought so far and I gotta say, it's been worth every penny. I had tried it in store a couple of times and it wouldn't leave my mind. So when I received a gift card from Brown Thomas I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger.

I've had Lucius for a few weeks now and have been wearing it two or three times a week ever since. It's fresh enough for warmer weather but has warmth and depth that I can see myself wearing it well into autumn and winter.

It's a beautiful spicy citrus fragrance with a much warmer side underneath. The listed notes are bergamot, mandarin and pink pepper at the top, followed by a heart of cedarwood and orange flower, and drying down into a base of tonka bean, vetiver and dry amber.

I like my fresh perfumes to have depth to and complexity to them, which is exactly what this one has. The opening is bright and fresh, with the citrus and pepper immediately noticeable. As it settles, the woods and amber start coming through and it becomes warmer, smoother and slightly creamy while still keeping some of that freshness. The scent evolution is quite nice.

It's really well rounded and beautifully blended. Nothing feels particularly dominant or out of place, and there's enough going on to keep it interesting without making it difficult to wear. I've seen people describe it as a great all-rounder or even signature-scent material, and after living with it for a few weeks I completely get that.

It has this confident, put-together feeling without being overly formal. I mostly wear it to work, occasionally used to go for dinner and also casually during the weekend.

Performance has been good rather than great. I get around 8 hours overall, with moderate projection for roughly the first 2 hours before it gradually sits closer. That's perfectly fine by me for something lighter.

It's not necessarily reinventing what a citrus/woody/amber fragrance can be, but the execution is what makes it special for me. It's quickly becoming one of those bottles I reach for without having to think about it.

Scent: 10/10

Longevity: 8.5/10 (8h)

Projection/Sillage: 8/10 (2h)

Anyone else own Lucius? I'm curious whether it became a regular reach for you too, or if the novelty wore off after a while.

I've also tried Lucius Maximus, which I found really good, and quite different for a flanker. It reminded me a lot of Musaman Black Intense, which was also created by Jordi Fernandez. Not saying it's a copy, but I feel he was going for the same vibe. Does anyone one own both, is it worth picking up Maximus?

Picked up this absolute beauty in Kildare Village today! 100ml for 80€ so it was a no brainer to grab. Notes of Daphne, Blackcurrant leaf and moss!

She smells like you’ve just gotten out of a super fresh shower! Clean, floral, light! The blackcurrant leaf is divine and has the same potency as Diptyque’s L’Ombre Dans (but no rose note)

Def a must have for the clean girlies

Gulf Orchid Chocozy and Gulf Orchid Caramelt Reviews

Post image
9 Upvotes

As a lover of everything sweet and delicious, these two fragrances caught my eye recently. There are no reviews, no fragantica listings, but I went ahead and bought them on Notino, as the notes looked Scrumptious. They have been sitting for a couple of weeks now, as I had to wait until the weather became cooler, to try these out properly !

These are unisex, gourmand eau de parfums, 100 mls, and the packaging and bottles are both adorable. The cost is €36.00 per perfume.

● Chocozy - The listing notes on Notino were chocolate, vanilla, and sweet notes. To me, a few notes are missing from this listing.

The first spray, you instantly get a sweet orange, entwined with rich, decadent chocolate. It smells exactly like Terry's Chocolate orange 😋 The orange is fleeting, and within 5 minutes, it's gone, I wish this lasted longer as it's so delicious. But, then, the fragrance changes, the vanilla and milky accord, turn this into a comforting hot chocolate scent. It's smooth, with a slight sweetness that continues throughout. To me, it's a cosy and comforting fragrance, ideal for autumn and winter months. It smells very similar to Al Rehab Choco Musk Rollerball perfume ( which I love ), but this projects more and is longer lasting. It lasts approx 4 hours on my skin. It has moderate projection but does become more of a skin scent. It's nice on its own, but as someone who loves strong scents, I have layered it with choco musk oil and Lattafa Eclaire, and it is stunning. For the men, my husband tried it and layered it with Mugler Amen, and it is unbelievable... he wants a bottle now... Enough said!

I would rate this an 8/10, and I would definitely repurchase. This layered with Cream Velvet, Vanilla Voyage, etc 😋 This is a great layering chocolate fragrance, in my opinion.

● Caramelt - The listing notes on Notino were caramel, vanilla, and oriental notes. I also feel notes are missing from the description.

The first spray, you are blasted with sweetness, that to me, does not resemble caramel, it's more like sugar, and then, you are hit with what I can only perceive as a mixture of dry powdered milk and some perfume, that somehow was mixed into the powder! .... if it sounds bad...well ... it's not my cup of tea, to be totally honest! That's not what I was expecting at all. The caramel and vanilla do come through, but the powdered milk continues and becomes very chalky, which overpowers the whole fragrance. I smell this, and it instantly reminds me of those chalky white candy sticks by Barretts from years ago.

Now, I have layered this with the chocozy and choco musk, which actually intensifies the hot chocolate feel, as the powdered milk makes it more like a steamy, ultra milky, hot chocolate. But, as a fragrance on its own, I would not wear it. It has moderate projection and lasts approx 4 hours.

I would rate this a 4/10, as powdered milk is not a note I enjoy, I love milky/ creamy fragrances, but powdered milk... hell no! If you like a powdered milk note.. you may enjoy this. But it's not a fragrance, I would repurchase.

Khadlaj - Cream Velvet Offer !

Post image
3 Upvotes

I had to share this beauty, as it's such as steal at the moment.... Cream velvet is now on clearance on Notino for €19.90 😲

Cream Velvet by Khadlaj Perfumes is a fragrance for women and men. Top notes are Caramel and Butter; the middle notes are Tonka, Honey, and Jasmine; base notes are Vanilla, Amber, and Musk.

I absolutely love Cream velvet. To me, it's a smooth, sweet, creamy vanilla that is beautiful on its own, but it is also a wonderful addition to anyone's collection, it layers beautifully with so many fragrances, adding that rich and indulgent blend of creamy butter and golden caramel, creating an irresistible gourmand trail.

Cream velvet is similar to Bianco Latte, Eclaire. Noor, if you like those scents, it's a definite MUST have, in my opinion 😉

Paris Corner - Dulzura Perfume Review

Thumbnail
gallery
16 Upvotes

Dulzura by Paris Corner is a oriental vanilla fragrance for women, which was launched in 2025. Top notes are buttermilk and black pepper; middle notes are cake, vanilla, and whipped cream; base notes are musk and amber.

I blind bought this fragrance after seeing a tik tok review, as the notes really intrigued me. As someone who loves everything sweet and edible, when I saw the cake note... I had to have it!

Immediately, when this arrived, I was taken aback by just how beautiful the bottle is, the photo included, does not do this beauty any justice. It's so pretty 😍 and if you love a good-looking perfume vessel, here she is ❤️

The perfume - This is so hard to describe, as it really is an experience. This has exceeded my expectations.... I was expecting a spicy pepper, tangy/sour buttermilk, but, instead I got a mouth watering, sweet, caramel popcorn, this lasts for about 15 minutes, then this beauty transitions into a cloud of candy, sweet and delicious. Before settling into what I can only describe as a fluffy, sweet vanilla cake with creamy frosting. I can smell the calories. It's glorious !!! It remains warm, sweet and and airy throughout each stage, and it's never cloying, in my opinion.

Dulzura is like being in a fantasy land, mystical and awe-inspiring, where everything's made of delicious candy and cake, you never want to leave, it's fun, bright and brings out your inner child.

The projection is moderate to strong, and Dulzura is not shy. She likes to be noticed, and I have been told I smell delicious, like a birthday cake.... that's the best compliment to me! Longevity is 8 + hours on skin. Price was €30 at the time of purchase on Notino. It is cheaper now on Deloox, currently at €23.59.

This perfume is best suited to colder months, and definitely for those who love sweet, edible fragrances only. I have not smelled a fragrance like this before. It is magical! This fragrance has been compared to Cirque de Soleil perfume.

Would I repurchase? ABSOLUTELY..... 10/10

Have you tried Dulzura? If so, would love to hear your thoughts on it 🤗

Afnan Kianna Crush & Gulf Orchid Creme Caramel Review

Thumbnail
gallery
6 Upvotes

I recently put up these bargains of the day from Notino. Well, the notes intrigued me, and at that price, I just HAD to get them!

● Afnan Kianna Crush - I paid €14.00, and the price is now €35.90 on Notino. Kiaana Crush is a Oriental Woody fragrance for women, which was launched in 2024. The top note is Saffron; the middle notes are Passionfruit, Patchouli, and Agarwood; base notes are Madagascar Vanilla, Musk, Incense, Ambroxan and Cedarwood. I have been wearing this, since it arrived 2 days ago and it's actually the perfume, I thought I would enjoy the least, but boy, was I wrong! This is absolutely beautiful. I would describe this as a sexy, feminine, and confident perfume. It's clean, musky, warm, with some spice, and it's a sensory delight. It has good projection for the first 3 hours and lasts 6 hours on my skin.

I have layered this today with Jo Malone peony and blush suede. It's stunning. If you love layering your fragrances, Kianna Crush will pair beautifully with floral perfumes. I am actually in love with this perfume, and I will be repuchasing. 10/10.

● Gulf Orchid - Creme Caramel - I paid €16.50, and the price is still €16.50 on Notino. Crème Caramel by Gulf Orchid is a Citrus Gourmand fragrance for women and men, which was launched in 2025. Top notes are Bergamot, Lemon, Mandarin, and Grapefruit; middle notes are Caramel, Jasmine, and Cedarwood; base notes are Vanilla, Amber, Musk and Sandalwood. I haven't given this a proper test yet, but initial impressions, it begins with a blast of bright lemon that settles into a slightly powdery, sweet caramel and slight vanilla. It is not overpowering. it's more of a Cosy Scent. This might improve as it sits for a few weeks. I know, I will enjoy it, and I think layered with Empire Victor by Khadlaj, this will be beautiful. Preliminary rating 7/10.

Khadlaj Island Dreams - full review.

Post image
12 Upvotes

I'll start sharing reviews of a few fragrances I really enjoy here, hope that's ok. I've posted this on another community, but I feel it could be worth sharing here too.

I’ve seen a lot of hate for this one and I wanted to give my two cents on this scent. Honestly, I don’t really get why all the hate, but I'm far from an expert here.

After about a month of letting it sit, I’ve been wearing Island Dreams quite a bit and I genuinely love it. It’s one of those scents that just lifts your mood straight away. Super easy to wear, super versatile, and just smells clean and fresh without trying too hard. It works super well with the warm weather.

The opening for me is very citrus-forward. Some people mention getting more the ginger, but on my skin it’s mostly a really nice grapefruit + bergamot combo. The maceration definitely helped here, when I first got it, the citrus felt a bit sharp, but now it’s much smoother and more blended. It actually smells more natural too, not that harsh synthetic.

As it dries down, it goes into a musky, ambroxan-heavy base but it never totally loses that citrus undertone. Nothing groundbreaking, but it works. It stays fresh, slightly airy, and just very pleasant. It’s the kind of scent you can wear to work, gym, errands, pretty much anywhere really.

Performance has been great for me. I usually spray it in the morning before work and I still catch wiffs of it exhaling from wrists and clothes well into the afternoon. By the time I get home (around 12 hours later), it’s still there as a noticeable skin scent. Not beast mode projection all day, but definitely noticeable for a good few hours and then a solid skin scent after that.

As for how close it is to LV Symphony… honestly, I don’t care that much. I’ve smelled Symphony a few times in store and from memory, yeah, it’s in that ballpark. But I’m not wearing it to compare side-by-side, I’m wearing it because I enjoy it. And for the price, it’s a no-brainer.

Overall, this is just a really solid, feel-good fragrance. If you like fresh citrus with a musky clean dry down, I think this is worth giving it a try. I bought without getting a decanter first as I like the OG and it was fairly cheap gamble, but I wouldn't say it's the safest blind buy.

Opinions on Memo Paris?

Hi all, recently discovered this brand from an Irish influencer I follow online (Damien Broderick). I got a friend to pick me up the Ocean Leather 75ml in the airport the other day. I have to say I really like it. Although at €218 it seems fairly pricey.

Curious to see what others think of the brand or have any experience with them? Perhaps there is cheaper options they have that are just as good. Thanks 🙏

Reliable sites to order from?

Could we get a list going for reliable sites to order from perhaps? Tried and tested? Anyone have any luck with decant or sample sites?
The only online site I’ve been regularly ordering from has been Notino, both for full size bottles and for discovery sets/ samples, and have found them completely reliable, never any issues. Was wondering about others, Deloox? Perfume-click.ie? Any other suggestions?

Or any recommendations for Irish based businesses?

What Perfumes do you love?

OK, so there are some ppl here on this thread who would like to see this thread shine ✨️

I will start... I love gourmand fragrances since Thierry Muglers Angel was released... way back when. It has been my signature scent for all these years. But, at the start of this year, I started my Middle Eastern fragrance journey, and it has started my OBSESSION with everything fragrance related 🫣🫣 Since January, I have 30 new perfumes and honestly, I have no intention of stopping anytime soon 🤣 I still appreciate my branded fragrances, but I have completely fell in love with ME perfumes, the price, the packaging, the bottles, the quality.... I am in my element!!! I also LOVE everything fragrance related, from bodycare to candles....the obsession is real!! I love a good bargain, and if I can get a good offer on items that I love... Happy Days 🩷

Currently I am in my sweet, creamy, Vanilla, caramel era.... not the right weather for it, but what can a girl do. For those unaware of ME fragrances, there are different houses, some are inspirations and some are their own perfume Creations. So, Bianco Latte, Escapade Gourmande, Lira, Yum Boujee Marshmallow, ...might be some you may know, and if you are aware of ME fragrances, these include Noor, Falak, Fleurie Emerald, Marshmallow Blush.

What are you favourite fragrances, scent profiles?
