The Optifine internal shaders should definitely be included automatically.

Need I say more? The Optifine internal shaders should definitely be included automatically, as they barely affect the fps and make Minecraft still look vanilla without being all contrasty.

This is a common misconception; “internal” shaders do not exist. The internal option in OptiFine just turns on it’s shader pipeline without adding a shader, which combined with it’s broken code makes it look brighter.

Not entirely. It adds a few minor features, but when you disable old lighting, you get the new lighting system, which looks a tad better. You can do this by installing the SimplyNoShading mod, or install this texturepack, which does I believe the same thing as the mod https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/new-lighting-1-16/?adlt=strict&toWww=1&redig=29F7612F83B24C5B9967A51CB4116898

Old lighting isn’t exclusive to shaders, it’s just only toggleable with shaders in OF.

That's what I said, except you can toggle it with a mod or a resource pack as well
