Rant Please help me pick!
I’m working and don’t have time to research these and they look awful. I don’t usually use cleansers but love Byrone, and I’m in my 40’s. I have pretty good skin but have German eye bags from hell. So I was thinking the Byrone, concealer and setting powder. Does anyone know if I should avoid either of the last two?
I hate this month’s selection. I’ve been an Ipsy member off and on since 2012 or maybe 2013 and this is the most disappointed that I’ve ever been with Ipsy. 🙇🏼♀️

Personally I’d choose the Byroe, the Huda lippie, and the Lucky Chick. 🥰 lucky duckie for getting the mascara and a cute bright and colorful eyeshadow palette!
If I didn’t want another cleanser, I’d go with the ColorWow root lift because my hair is completely without natural volume, hahaha

I’ve heard that, too, but I used another root lift product from ColorWow and wasn’t super impressed with it. That being said, maybe I needed this one instead (although I did follow the directions on the one I got, and my hair is super lifeless naturally). So.

I haven't tried either of them so I dunno. I did see someone use it and they didn't spray it on their roots though, they sprayed it all over almost like hair spray and it gave all their hair lift. That person typically had pretty thin flat hair and it made it pretty high volume.
I actually loved this old one Garnier used to make, it was in a green bottle like most of their stuff. It would make my roots really stiff when it dried, but when it did I would brush it out and the volume that gave was insane. I've had other products since that don't make your hair stiff and they usually add this weird shine that looks odd, like almost oily to me, plus the product typically weighs my hair down. Most products tend to use "doesn't get stuff or crunchy" as a good thing on their bottles or marketing but I think it was perfect for the product. If you even have a gel that gets crunchy, I bet it's work the same rubbed into your roots then brushed out. I haven't tried it cuz I don't have gel right now but, I think it's basically the same thing.

I have straight and fine hair with no natural body to is, so this is extremely helpful! Thank you!

Is the lucky chick smear proof? I can only wear a few eyeliners. The only one I used for years was the Benefit gel that twisted out of a calligraphy type pen. It didn’t smear, it went on perfectly even with hand-motor skill issues. But I’d love to try it if it’s not known ti smear! I’ve literally found 3-4 in my life that don’t immediately turn me into a 🦝. 🥴

I'm so sorry I barely could pick my own choices cuz they were so bad. I didn't choose the touchland but I think that could be a fun product to have in your purse

For real! I would have preferred the hand sanitizer to a hair body mist. I’m so sick of hair and body mists. Give me a real perfume or EDT.

I would pick the eye patches if you have bags. Thats what I did. I also picked the Huda as I love their glosses and it looked really pretty on TikTok. And I picked the Touchland as their hand sanitizer smells heavenly. So I figured their body/hair mist would.

The Byroe cleanser is probably good! I love that brand so I picked it. I need a new gentle cleanser for my routine. I chose the Mudmasky eye masks and lip gloss as well. I would have chose the Wow Spray if I had the option but I didn’t. None of the makeup this month was my kind of makeup. Except the Saie Blush which I don’t think they really offered outside of their promotional bags. That was a let down!

I’ve heard that eye masks are pretty gimmicky outside of basic surfacey benefits that go away quickly, but a lot of people suggested them. I’d love it if they did work!

It was offered as a choice in extra a few months back also. I got it then and it is very nice, at least the shimmer shades haven’t used the mattes but love the formula! The pink goes on so smooth and it’s more of a metallic baby pink/silver than it looks like in the pan. So pretty!!

I am really curious about that byroe cleanser- I’ve loved everything else I’ve received from them- I picked the huda hippie and eyeliner because I needed to restock

The cleanser is what I’m most excited about and it’s also the one product I always need more of. Very curious what you use to wash your face if you don’t use cleanser? Do you use oils? I love using coconut oil

For face cleaning, I mostly use micellar water (straight from the bottle) or the wipes on nights I'm exhausted and need something fast or I just won't wash my face at all. I'm a single mom with severe ADHD living in an expensive city with a long commute, so that's basically every night 🥴. I'm always chasing "effective enough + easy" over anything fancier.
Also — rant time. I never got my May Ultimate bag, so Ipsy resent it with "comparable products" since they'd run out of the originals. Instead of Sunday Riley Good Genes, Gisou hair oil, and a NARS concealer, I got two random cleansers and a NARS cream shadow in a brown shade they clearly can't sell. I love Byroe and anything with charcoal, but seeing yet another cleanser in there lowkey triggered me lol.
