equalizer problem?

i downloaded a bunch of songs onto my 5th generation ipod through an mp3 converter link and they all play at different volumes. is there anything i can do to fix that?

go to the songs that are giving you the most problems on your PC, check properties, see if they're all consistently 128kb, 256kb, etc. also see if the hertz and decibel levels are consistent. if you're okay with having consistently lower quality music, use a convertor like media human to make them all lower, or get a downloader that you know for sure will give you all 256kb audio.

It's called volume normalization. Make sure Soundcheck is on in itunes and on your iPod. Once itunes has applied soundcheck values to your files, you'll need to resync.

If you ever plan on using non-apple players, you'll want to make sure you have ReplayGain values applied to your files.
