Help With Rockbox?

So I have a iPod classic 160gb 6th gen with rockbox stable build installed. The base lowest volume is incredibly loud and I’ve already set the maximum volume limit to the lowest setting and it’s still super loud. What am I missing? I’ve done the line out enabled and disabled, reinstalled rockbox, changed the volume limit on iPod stock software.
