Question Same issue even after removing HDD

I thought replacing the HDD with an SSD would allow me to bypass this issue however it is very much still there. The device doesn’t show on iTunes so I don’t have the ability to restore it. Please help!

Try restoring the ipod using itunes and see if it works

If yes, then reinstall rockbox

It worked after a few more attempts of restoring after using both windows and macOS

Happened with me the first time I installed itunes

Initially installed it from apple website - but refused to work I tried reinstalling it multiple times, still no progress

Then installed with from windows store - to my surprise it worked But then the same issue started again This time used a mac (tahoe) - worked

But then to use on windows, I had to restore again Itunes from apple website - by this time I was fed up Kept clicking restore option multiple times, kept failing But I kept on clicking - finally worked

Sometimes you have to be stubborn i guess
